Biography

Dr. J. Thavamani is an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. He has over 16 years of teaching and research experience in the fields of Thermal Engineering, Renewable Energy, Solar Energy Applications, Heat Transfer, and Sustainable Energy Systems. He obtained his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, M.E. in Thermal Engineering, and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. His research primarily focuses on solar desalination technologies, double-slope solar stills, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), flow boiling in microchannels, refrigeration systems, heat exchangers, and renewable energy systems. Dr. Thavamani has published numerous research articles in leading international journals, including studies on solar still performance enhancement, energy and exergy analysis, water purification technologies, and advanced thermal systems.
