Biography
Member of the research groups “Art, Education and Teacher Training” - GAEFO (State University of Paraná), of the Educamovimento/NEPIE - Childhood and Early Childhood Education (Federal University of Paraná), and of the Transdisciplinary Research Center in Education and Development (IPB), and a collaborating researcher at the Research Centre for Child Studies (University of Minho). He is an active member of the Brazilian Music Education Association (ABEM), where he serves on the editorial board of the association’s journals and co-edits the Music in Basic Education Journal (Revista Música na Educação Básica). He serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Music Education (Sage/ISME) and of the Revista Portuguesa de Educação Musical (APEM). He also serves as reviews editor of the International Journal of Music in Early Childhood (Intellect/ECMMA).
Education
PhD in music with post-doctoral research in education (Federal University of Paraná), and in childhood studies (University of Minho). His research and teaching focus on early childhood music education and teacher training.
