Biography

Yahaya, Lasiele Alabi is a Professor of Guidance and Counselling at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He became a Professor in 2014 with specialization in School Counselling and Social Issues He was the Director of Unilorin Counselling and Human Development Centre (UCHDC) between 2010 and 2014 and served as the Head, Department of Counsellor Education, University of Ilorin between 2014 and 2017. Prof. Yahaya was appointed as the Director of the Institute of Education, University of Ilorin in 2017 and completed his tenure successfully in 2020. He has several publications in National and International outlets and he has attended several conferences and workshops at national and international levels. He is a Certified Institutional Accreditor; a Google scholar and a member of the Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria (APROCON). Professor Yahaya is happily married with children.
