Biography
He was born in Artvin in 1968. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Humanities, Department of History of Art in the year 1988. He received his master of arts (1993) and doctorate (2000) degrees at the same university.During the years 1989-1992, he received education on “conservation of cultural property” in Sicily and Rome with Italian Government Scholarship. In the year 1991, he took up a specialist position at Ankara University, Başkent Vocational School, Restoration and Conservation Programme. During the years 1996-1997, he engaged in professional work in Soissons (CEPMR) with the French Ministry of Culture Scholarship.He became associate professor in 2008. He took part in the establishment of the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Properties at Gazi University, Faculty of Fine Arts, where he was appointed to in the year 2011.
