Biography

Assistant Professor Cemil Gündüz is a distinguished scholar specializing in sustainable and halal tourism, along with tourism economics. Graduating in Travel Management from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University in 2012, he continued his academic journey with a postgraduate degree in Tourism Management from the same university's Social Sciences Institute in 2014. In 2019, he earned his Ph.D. with a dissertation focusing on Halal Tourism and Competitive Strategies. Dr. Gündüz's academic prowess extends to his involvement in the TUBITAK 2219 Postdoctoral Research Program, where he served as a visiting professor at the University of Turin in Italy for 12 months. With eight years of dedicated service, he has been a valuable member of the academic staff at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. His research and teaching portfolio at the university encompass the dynamic fields of sustainable and halal tourism practices, coupled with the economic dimensions of tourism. Dr.
