  • Blockchain-Driven Supply Chain Finance for Public Healthcare in India: Enhancing Financial Resilience in Public Health Systems
Imad Ali, Yogesh Vasant Patil, Ankita Jangid, Md Atikur Rahaman, Rupali Dilip Taru, Ambreen Iftikhar
    Salud Ciencia Y Tecnologia, 2025
Introduction: Public healthcare systems in India face persistent inefficiencies, including delays in financial workflows, lack of transparency, and fraud, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Blockchain and machine learning (ML) technologies offer transformative potential to address these challenges by enhancing transparency, efficiency, and accountability in healthcare supply chains. Methods: A mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining structured surveys, semi-structured interviews, and secondary data analysis. Quantitative data were analysed using techniques such as descriptive statistics, predictive modelling (Random Forest), clustering (K-means), and anomaly detection (Isolation Forest). Qualitative data from stakeholder interviews were analysed using Natural Language Processing (NLP) to identify recurring themes and sentiment trends. Results: The analysis revealed significant inefficiencies and readiness disparities among stakeholders. Blockchain was identified as a critical tool for improving transparency, with readiness levels being the strongest predictor of adoption success. ML demonstrated robust capabilities in fraud detection, with 5% of transactions flagged as anomalies, and predictive modelling identified key factors influencing readiness. Clustering analysis revealed distinct groups of stakeholders, highlighting the need for tailored interventions to bridge readiness gaps. Sentiment analysis indicated 65% of stakeholders held positive views on blockchain and ML adoption. Conclusion: Blockchain and ML technologies have the potential to transform public healthcare financing by addressing inefficiencies, enhancing transparency, and optimizing resource allocation. However, disparities in stakeholder readiness necessitate targeted capacity-building and phased implementation strategies. These findings provide a roadmap for integrating blockchain and ML into public healthcare systems, fostering financial resilience and improving service delivery in rural and underserved areas.
  • Are you satisfied? Tracing antecedents of bank employees’ job satisfaction in their job role
Aman Gupta, Md. Atikur Rahaman, Rupali Dilip Taru, Imad Ali, Mohammed Julfikar Ali
    Banks and Bank Systems, 2024
This empirical study aims to explore the factors that impact job satisfaction among employees in private banks in Bangladesh, considering the prevailing atmosphere of intense competition in the country’s banking sector. Recognizing that employees are a crucial asset to any organization’s success, it is essential to explore the variables that contribute to their work contentment. The methodology adopted for this study follows a quantitative approach, employing regression analysis for scrutinizing the relationships between job satisfaction and selected variables. This study included a sample of 320 individuals employed in private banks in Bangladesh. This sample size was considered suitable for conducting a robust quantitative regression analysis. To collect the necessary data, the questionnaire was given to the bank personnel and employees via their email addresses. The survey instrument utilized in this investigation was modified from earlier research endeavors to ensure validity and reliability. To analyze the collected data, the researchers utilized the statistical software SPSS version 29.0. The regression analysis feature of SPSS was employed to test the model and hypotheses formulated for this study. The findings of the study reveal that green HR practices (β = 0.284), which encompass environmentally friendly policies and practices in human resource management, significantly contribute to employee job satisfaction. Additionally, remuneration (β = 0.224) emerges as another vital factor influencing job satisfaction. Furthermore, work environment (β = 0.298) was found to have a significant positive and highest effect among other two variables on job satisfaction levels.
  • IMPACT OF DYNAMIC CAPABILITIES AND GREEN HR ON SUSTAINABLE PERFORMANCE IN SMES
Md. Atikur Rahaman, Rupali Dilip Taru, Issa Ahammad, Uma Durgude, Imad Ali
Problems and Perspectives in Management, 2024
The purpose of this study is to explore how internal and external dynamic capabilities and green human resource (HR) practices enhance sustainable outcomes in SMEs. Data were collected using a survey methodology targeting employees of SMEs located in the northern region of Bangladesh and West Bengal, India. A total of 327 employees participated in the survey conducted between May and June 2024. A five-point Likert scale was employed to assess the responses, and regression analysis was used to test the study’s hypotheses. The analysis was conducted at a 5% significance level, and the data were analyzed using the SPSS software package to ensure accuracy and reliability. The results indicate that internal and external dynamic capabilities, as well as green HR practices, play a significant role in shaping the sustainable performance of SMEs. External dynamic capabilities (β = 0.498, p < 0.05**) have the highest effect on the sustainable performance of SMEs, and internal capability (β = 0.384, p < 0.05**) has the second highest effect on SME performance. Additionally, a significant positive correlation (r = 0.498) was found between green HR practices and the overall performance of SMEs. This study contributes to the growing body of literature by providing empirical evidence on the critical factors driving sustainable performance in SMEs. It highlights the importance of integrating dynamic capabilities and environmentally conscious HR practices to achieve long-term sustainability in the SME sector, particularly in the context of developing countries like Bangladesh and India.
  • An analysis of renewable energy consumption in Visegrád countries
Md Atikur Rahaman, Mohammad Bin Amin, Rupali Dilip Taru, Md Rasel Ahammed, Mohammad Fazle Rabbi
    Environmental Research Communications, 2023
The ‘Visegrád Group’ countries are fundamentally distinct from one another. There is less public backing for green initiatives like climate protection and renewable energy in Western Europe. Since the change began, the region has made substantial efficiency gains. Descriptive statistics and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) were employed to quantify the various energy usage patterns across the V4 countries. Our analysis revealed that in Slovakia, Poland, and the Czech Republic, renewable energy development had accelerated by 149%, 116%, and 87% relative changes, respectively. Hungary has stalled or declined. These results suggest that the V4 countries have made considerable progress in transitioning to renewable energy sources. However, further steps are needed to ensure Hungary can make the same progress as its neighbours. According to the findings of our studies and forecasts, substantial levels of consumption of renewable energy will be observed in the following industries in the year 2022: Electricity usage will rise by 29.78% in Hungary and 22.45% in Slovakia; in the heating and cooling sector, it will rise by 24.60% in Czechia and 16.71% in Poland; and in the transportation sector, it will grow by 8.44% in Hungary and 7.71% in Slovakia. To keep up with expected increases in energy consumption, the V4 countries will need to expand the proportion of their economies that use sustainable and alternative resources. Furthermore, we propose six strategies to tackle increased energy demand and major obstacles to transitioning towards renewable energies. This will ensure energy independence and pave the way to carbon neutrality by 2050. While the EU has high targets for renewable energy, the papers show that the V4 nations each have their own set of ambitious goals.

Md. Atikur Rahaman, Rupali Dilip Taru, Aman Gupta, Vikash Prajapat, Md. Abdul Latif Mahmud
    Banks and Bank Systems, 2023
Employees are the most valuable part of every organization in the world, and the success of the organization depends on how well its employees do their jobs. Nowadays, commercial banks in Bangladesh are growing overwhelmingly, so the competition is enhancing one bank to another. Employee performance at the firm level and workplace productivity has not been empirically studied in the context of Bangladesh. The purpose of this study is to find out the variables that affect how well employees at banking institutions in Bangladesh do their jobs. People who worked in private banks in Bangladesh were the focus of this study and the final sample size was 250. The sample size was suitable for quantitative regression analysis. The questionnaire was sent to the e-mail ids of employees, and the questionnaires were adopted from the previous studies. To test the model and hypothesis, SPSS is used to analyze collected data in this study. The regression analysis was duly run with using the SPSS 26.0 version. The study shows that competence, compensation, leadership, and motivation have a big and good effect on how well employees do their jobs in regard to private commercial banks in Bangladesh. So, bank authorities should identify the factors influencing the improvement of the performance of bank employees, and they need to focus on employee productivity-enhancing activities.
