Doctor Web3.0: An Enhanced Decentralized Framework to Share and Store Medical Record of Patients Jyoti Anand, Afaq Ahmad, Devdeep Ghosh Iemecon 2024 12th International Conference on Internet of Everything Microwave Embedded Communication and Networks, 2024 Current and next generation people are moving towards technological progress rapidly, further required a healthy population along with maintaining their digital health records. Sharing medical data of patients among different stakeholders is required in case of remote healthcare monitoring system. As the health data is very sensitive, need to secure with web 3.0. It is the 3rd generation of World Wide Web (WWW), integrates Blockchain on them to maintain privacy and security as well. To address these concerns we proposed a framework called Doctor Web 3.0, which uses react to make a suitable interface. Ethereum Blockchain is utilized to make smart contract, which is written under the Solidity programming language. This framework allows to store and share the patient records in pdf format only. As this is a patient-driven encryption process, employs data security and secure transaction using the Metamask. It adds an extra layer of protection. Results shown the effectiveness of the sharing the health data w.r.t security, privacy and performances.
FLODAREM: Intelligent Flood Detection and Dam Reservoir Monitoring System Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Shatabdi Basu, Kingshuk Bairagi, Afaq Ahmed 2023 IEEE 13th Annual Computing and Communication Workshop and Conference Ccwc 2023, 2023 Conventional dam reservoir monitoring systems in India are heavily dependent on water gauges to detect the dangerous levels of water that is indicative of flood conditions. Also, the remote locations of dams make constant monitoring and maintenance of traditional flood detection equipment expensive and human resource intensive. Our work proposes a reliable, cost-effective, low-maintenance, and energy-efficient technical solution for intelligent flood detection and dam reservoir moni-toring. The system has on-board circuitry comprising water level acquisition unit with ultrasonic sensors, environment monitoring unit consisting of humidity and temperature sensors, a motion detection unit with PIR sensor, and a communication unit that leverages the capability of 2G network to send a flood alert to preconfigured mobile along with solar-panel equipped power unit for continuous operations in all weather conditions.
Autonomous Water Flow Control and Monitoring System Shatabdi Basu, Afaq Ahmed, Hitarth Pareek, Pradeep Kumar Sharma 2022 International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research in Technology and Management Irtm 2022 Proceedings, 2022 Water conservation and management has become an important topic in recent times due to rapid decline of water resources across the globe. Water scarcity is a looming crisis brought on by climate changes, population explosion and wasteful water usage practices. There is need to design and implement cost-effective and user friendly systems for water management which require little or no manual intervention. In this paper an autonomous system is presented that can mitigate water wastage using real time water flow control and monitoring. The designed prototype uses IR sensors to automatically cease water discharge from overflowing faucets and taps. The system uses water flow sensor for water usage monitoring. This real time water consumption data in an area can be stored in cloud server for analytics purposes.
A theoretical and detail approach on grid computing a review on grid computing applications Rabel Guharoy, Surajit Sur, Shayan Rakshit, Sumit Kumar, Afaq Ahmed, Subhro Chakborty, Subhojit Dutta, Mayank Srivastava 2017 8th Industrial Automation and Electromechanical Engineering Conference Iemecon 2017, 2017 The drastic increase in the commodity computer and network performance for the last generation has a resultant of faster hardware and more sophisticated software. But, the supercomputers of the current generation are still incapable of solving the current problems in the field of science, engineering, and business. This problems arises as a single machine cannot facilitate the availability of various heterogeneous resources required to resolve the crisis. Numerous experimental studies were conducted by different organizations, such that the topologically distributed resources were connected by the means of internet to act as a single machine. This new approach is coined by different naming as, meta-computing, scalable computing, global computing, Internet computing and recently “Grid Computing”. In this research paper, we have discussed about the origin of Grid Computing, need of Grid Computing, followed by the reason of choosing it and several FAQs. The software development kits and application programming interfaces are categorized upon the study of extensible and open Grid architecture. A comparative study between “cloud computing” and “grid computing”, as well a brief study of grid and web services have taken into account. Finally we conclude with the benefits and the applications of Grid computing in the current scenario and the upcoming generations.
Leveling Up: Using E-waste to Build a Gaming Console Afaq Ahmad IEEE Potentials, 2017 Our world is facing an alarming problem of e-waste, which has a deep impact on humanity and our environment. According to the Global E-Waste Management Market, from 2014 to 2016, the rate of producing e-waste exceeded 93.5 million tons annually. There are currently var ious techniques for handling e-waste such as recycling, reducing consumption, and reusing containers, which are helpful but have their limits, as these efforts eventually require the use of landfills, which is not optimal for the environment.
Green energy harvesting using nantenna: An energy harvesting approach based on nantenna Surajit Sur, Rabel Guharoy, Arindam Haider, Subhojit Dutta, Shayan Rakshit, Afaq Ahmed, Mayank Srivastava 2016 IEEE 7th Annual Ubiquitous Computing Electronics and Mobile Communication Conference Uemcon 2016, 2016 Today, the giant problem of our civilization is the crisis of energy. The conventional energy resources are yet to be replacing by the renewable energy sources due to limited stock and high emission of pollutants. When the world goes for green, the solar energy takes the attention of the researcher. But the state of the art Photovoltaic technology is failed to get the success in cost, efficiency and size point of view. As the wavelength of the sunlight is getting smaller then scaling of the device is necessary to capture the energy from that wave coming. In that case, when size and efficiency both considered in nano-scale, nantenna comes in front of the scientists. In this paper, we mainly focused on the how solar radiation can be transformed to the usable electrical energy using nantenna. Also we have discussed in this paper about several nantenna prototypes available in the market. The nantenna is better than conventional PV technology not only that it produces more than 70% electrical energy but also there are many advantages. This paper completely emphasizes on green energy for the better world and concludes about how efficiency can be increased of the nantenna in the future research.
