The theoretical bases of a method of carrying out calibration of microwave radiometric system on a noise signal of the external noise generator are analysed, the parameters setting value of gain of antenna temperature at introduction in structure of system of such external source of a calibration signal are determined. The questions of technical realization of an external source of a calibration signal for microwave radiometric system are considered, the structural scheme is presented, the place of its arrangement in structure of the antenna is determined. The necessity of using a horn antenna to create directional radiation towards the mirror antenna emitter is shown. The data on the design of such a calibration signal source for the case of its use in a three-band microwave radiometric system with the reception of a noise signal at the common antenna aperture and a sequential separation of the input signals of the three bands in the feeder path of the common mirror irradiator are presented. The influence of the design and, accordingly, the directional properties of the horn antenna of a microwave radiometric system calibration signal source on the coefficient characterizing the radiation divergence created by the noise generator horn, as well as the frequency properties of this coefficient are analysed. The results of measurements of radio-thermal radiation by a three-band microwave radiometric system when two calibration periods with reception of a radio-noise signal from an external calibration signal source located at the base of the antenna mirror are presented. - Calibration of a three-band microwave radiometric system by an external noise signal source

The article considers a method of solving the problem of calibration of a tri-band microwave radiometric system by an external source of noise signal. The peculiarity of the given method of calibration is the location of the calibrated noise signal source in the base of the common antenna mirror with reception to the common aperture of the system’s illuminator. The questions of technical realization of a noise source as a broadband noise generator taking into account frequency dependence of output noise power value supplemented by an attenuator for obtaining a two-level calibration signal are considered. In article the theoretical positions underlying the given way of calibration in values of measured radio-luminous temperature are resulted, and time dependences of measurements of radio-luminous temperature of atmosphere are shown at an antenna direction in a zenith with inclusion of an external source of a noise signal at performance of calibration of microwave radiometric system. - Short-term forecasting of atmospheric meteorological parameters based on the results of the neural network of a three-band microwave radiometric system

Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2021
The article considers a variant of inclusion of a neural network into the microwave radiometric system of remote sensing of the atmosphere to perform short-term forecasting of meteorological parameters, based on current measurements of power of own radio-thermal emission of the atmosphere in three frequency bands. The initial data for the training of the neural network- the results of daily microwave radiometric measurements in three frequency bands and data on atmospheric meteorological parameters in the near ground layer obtained using a mobile meteorological station- are indicated. The results of forecasting the temperature and humidity of the near ground layer of the atmosphere based on the current results of microwave radiometric measurements for the current moment and with a two-hour lead time are presented. - Multi-band microwave radiometric sensing of remote rain zones

This work relates to the problem of forecasting dangerous weather events - heavy rains and heavy precipitation in the form of snow and hail in a certain area based on the results of passive microwave radiometric measurements. The article presents the results of research on the possibility of implementing a multi-band method for detecting and monitoring rain zones with inclined microwave radiometric sensing at small angles. The analysis of the influence of a remote rain area on the atmosphere radio brightness temperature during horizontal sounding of a multi-frequency microwave radiometric system is performed. Numerical estimates of the radio brightness temperature and its increase due to the presence of the rain zone in the direction of sounding are obtained. The atmosphere with rain thermal radiation power measurements data, made by a tri-band microwave radiometric system, show a trend for different time of the system output growth formation, when the rain area approaches to the place-based microwave radiometric system. - Use of the Sun's radiothermal radiation as an external source for research of multi-frequency microwave radiometric system antenna parameters with background noise compensation
