  • Assessing the Future of HRM: Exploring the Transformative Role of Artificial Intelligence in Realizing the UAE's Vision 2031 for AI-Driven Human Resources Practices
Ashraf Awad, Ahmad Mousa, Elsaid Abdelaziz, Ahmed Attia
    Qubahan Academic Journal, 2025
The current research was set to investigate the indirect impact of the adoption of AI in the UAE on AI-driven human resource management through the mediation of the Technology Acceptance Model. A total of 171 surveys were found to be valid and usable after being collected from human resource professionals working in both the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization. We tested the hypotheses using SmartPLS4 software through partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The research reported that AI adoption positively and significantly affects human resource management practices within the UAE. In addition, it had a great positive impact on the perceived usefulness and ease of use of AI in the UAE. Perceived ease of use, in turn, had a significant and positive impact on the attitude of users toward use and on perceived usefulness. Therefore, perceived usefulness had a substantial positive impact on attitudes and behavioral intentions of users in the use of AI technology. That is, user intentions significantly impacted the AI-driven HRM practices relating to the deployment of AI technology. So, the Technology Acceptance Model played a key role, leading to a notable indirect influence on AI-driven HRM practices in the UAE. Therefore, the integration of AI technology into human resources management has taken place.

    Sustainability Switzerland, 2023
This study aims to test the effect of sustainable supply chain management on customer relationship management, competitive advantage, and organizational performance by collecting and analyzing data from the Egyptian textile industry. A suggested research model shows the hypothesized relationship between sustainable supply chain management, customer relationship management, competitive advantage, and organizational performance. The proposed research model and hypotheses were tested using correlation analysis and structural equation modeling based on data collected from 148 companies working in the Egyptian textile industry. Statistical analysis of the collected data supports the positive relationship between sustainable supply chain management on one side and customer relationship management, competitive advantage, and organizational performance on the other. Additionally, statistical analysis supports the positive relationship between customer relationship management and competitive advantage from one side and organizational performance from the other side. Data were collected through an online survey from 147 supply chain managers in the Egyptian textile industry to test the research hypotheses. The results suggest that the successful implementation of sustainable supply chain management will help in improving customer relationship management, competitive advantage, and organizational performance.

  • Organizational learning, knowledge management capability and supply chain management practices in the Saudi food industry
    Ahmed Attia, Ingy Essam Eldin
    Journal of Knowledge Management, 2018
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of knowledge management capabilities (KMCs) on organizational learning (OL) and supply chain management practices (SCMPs). In addition, to study the effect of OL, KMC and supply chain management on organizational performance (OP). Design/methodology/approach To study the relationships between KMC, OL, SCMP and OP, different techniques such as factor analysis, correlation analysis and structural equation modeling were used to verify the validity of the proposed conceptual model, and to test the suggested hypotheses, data collected from 165 companies in the Saudi food industry (representing a response rate of 64.9 per cent) were used. Findings According to the study’s findings, SCMP and OL are positively affected by KMC. Moreover, OP is directly affected by KMC, OL and SCMP. Research limitations/implications Owing to the specific nature of the sample, the findings of the current research are applicable only to the food industry. Originality/value The current research introduced a conceptual model, which has been tested and verified in the Saudi food industry. The findings recommend that both KMC and OL as well as SCMP will contribute to improving the OP. In addition, KMC will improve the SCMP and OL.

    Business Process Management Journal, 2018
PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of supply logistics integration (SLI) on inbound supply performance (ISP) and competitive performance (CP) in firms, in addition to examining the effect of ISP on CP.Design/methodology/approachTo demonstrate the effect of SLI on ISP and CP, different techniques such as factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling were used to verify the validity of the proposed conceptual model and to test the suggested hypotheses. This was accomplished by using data collected from 192 companies in the Saudi food industry (representing a response rate of 75.6 percent).FindingsAccording to the study’s findings, ISP is positively affected by SLI. Moreover, CP is directly affected by SLI and ISP.Research limitations/implicationsDue to the specific nature of the sample, the findings of the current research are applicable only to the food industry.Originality/valueThe current research introduced a conceptual model, which has been tested and verified in the Saudi food industry. The findings recommend that both SLI as well as ISP will contribute to improving the CP. In addition, SLI will improve the ISP.
