A Review on Animal Detection and Classification using Computer Vision Techniques: Scope for Future Enhancement to Application Balakrishna K, Dhanushree V Icrtec 2023 Proceedings IEEE International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics and Communication Upcoming Technologies for Smart Systems, 2023 As the human population increases day by day and because of the leading lavish lifestyle, demand for space and resources grows between humans and wildlife animals. The interaction of humans and wildlife animals results in conflict, which leads to injuries, permanent disabilities and loss of life in humans and animals. In many cases, the result ends with the threat of declining or extinction of abundant species in the animals. Computer vision technology-related solution in animal detection and classification plays a critical role with the advantage of safety, inexpensive and convince adopting of the advanced algorithm. But still in the infancy of achieving the expected level of efficiency and performance of the model, also to adopt for real-time application. So here the authors give an immersive way of direction for future work to have real-time application by integrating computer vision technology with the Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
WSN, APSim, and communication model-based irrigation optimization for horticulture crops in real time Balakrishna K. Artificial Intelligence and Iot Based Technologies for Sustainable Farming and Smart Agriculture, 2021 The use of wireless sensor networks, the internet of things, and advanced technologies lead to new direction of research in the agriculture domain called prescriptive agriculture. Prescriptive agriculture is the enforcement of precision agriculture, which is observing, measuring, and responding to inter and intra field variability of farm field. In this chapter, the advent of wireless sensor network, APSim, and communication model spurred a new direction in the farming domain at optimizing irrigation. Sensors are programmed to collect the datasets of climatic parameters such as relative humidity and temperature, where the datasets were forwarded to the server through a GSM module. Datasets collected were analyzed through statistical software for grown crops by considering inter and intra farm field conditions. Finally, information on irrigation is decimated through an algorithm designed by way2SMS and WebHost server.
IoT based Class Attendance Monitoring System using RFID and GSM K Balakrishna, B R Ganesh Prasad, N D Dhanyashree, V Balaji, N M Krishna 2021 IEEE International Conference on Mobile Networks and Wireless Communications Icmnwc 2021, 2021 Nowadays most institutions follow a cumbersome method to monitor the attendance of the students manually. The manual method of calling the students and marking the status of it on the book is prolonged and insecure. This paper, designed a new paradigm of monitoring student’s attendance using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication technology based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The proposed model consists of both hardware and software parts based on IoT technology. The hardware part consists of components like EM-19 RFID reader, RFID tags, and GSM module. The software part consists of Application Programming Interface (API) to send information instantly to the registered mobile phone. The proposed system works effectively decimating the information of student status to their respective parents/guardian and even authenticated person with valid credentials can access the database from the server from any place and time.
WSN-based information dissemination for optimizing irrigation through prescriptive farming Balakrishna K. International Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Information Systems, 2020 Prescriptive agriculture is the art of science utilizing modern technology to enhance productivity with optimizing inputs/cost. In this paper, the advent of wireless sensor network, APSim, and statistical software spurred a new direction in the farming domain at optimizing irrigation. Sensors are designed to collect the datasets of climatic parameters such as relative humidity and temperature, where the datasets were forwarded to the server through a GSM module. Datasets collected were analyzed through statistical software for grown crops by considering field soil conditions and evapotranspiration. Finally, information on irrigation is determined through an algorithm designed by way2SMS and WebHost server.
