Mr. Bony Dasari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology at Bhavan’s College (Autonomous), Andheri (West), Mumbai. His academic and research interests lie in microbial biotechnology, plant–microbe interactions, fermentation technology, and biocontrol mechanisms. He has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in microbiology, with a strong focus on microbial metabolism, enzymology, and applied microbiology.
His research work includes studies on probiotic and non-probiotic bacteria, bacteriocin production, biopriming, and microbial antagonism against plant pathogens, particularly Xanthomonas campestris. He has contributed to scholarly publications and is the holder of a patent titled “A Method of Extraction for Astaxanthin Pigment by Solvent Extraction from Shrimp He is currently pursuing doctoral research focused on the biocontrol potential of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum and Pseudomonas putida in crop protection.
