Corina Basnou is a researcher (CREAF, Barcelona) and she has a background in botany and urban ecology. She has studied and worked in Romania, Italy and Spain and currently she is involved in various H2020 projects, collaborating with Europe, South America and China. She worked as an expert for EKLIPSE group, contributing to the framework of NBS indicators. She is coordinating in CREAF (leading Barcelona team) the H2020 projects on NBS, CLEARING HOUSE and CONEXUS. Recently, she has developed Green4children project in Barcelona, to reconnect children with nature. The project has at his core the NBS for children and brings inclusive knowledge to enhance biodiversity, children friendly cities and decision making. CB is also leading a project to assess the heavy metall contents in edible food in urban gardens in Barcelona. This project sets up the basis for the biomonitoring of environmental health using plants, as part of the global One Health research framework.
