DR. CHANDRA SEKHAR PRAHARAJ is the Principal Scientist and Head at ICAR-DGR, Junagadh (Gujarat), India. He handled many research projects under DAC, DST, UPCST, NASF,NSP,BSP,TAR/IVLP,AICRPs. He has made significant research contributions in precision irrigation, long-term soil fertility, and conservation agriculture in multiple cropping systems cereals, potato, cotton, and pulses in diverse agro-ecologies. His notable efforts caused a saving of 30% water use thr extensive popularization of micro-irrigation through scaling resource use efficiency in cotton, pulses and its systems. He has published >650 publications including >150 research articles. He was recipient of FELLOW of ISA (2014) & ISPRD (2016); Outstanding Scientist Award (IIPR, 2017; IIGR 2025), Best Team Award (IIPR, 2019; IIGR 2025), ISPRD Recognition Award (2020), ISA GOLD MEDAL (2021). He was Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of JFL (ISPRD2017-20), Associate EIC of CAAS(SAP2015-18), Organizing Secretary of ICPulse2020, Bhopal, India
