Sustainable Marine Entrepreneurship Ritu Gupta, Lalit Kumar Entrepreneurship and Competitive Sustainability Innovative Approaches, 2026 A new paradigm known as “sustainable marine entrepreneurship” (SME) offers a regenerative route for the blue economy by fusing social justice, ocean protection, and economic innovation. SMEs provide context-specific, community-focused, and environmentally sensitive business models that support Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water) in the face of increasing marine degradation brought on by excessive fishing, destruction of habitat, plastic pollution, and climate change scenarios. The fundamental, ecological, and financial obstacles to SME expansion are critically examined in this study. These obstacles range from data scarcity, regulatory complexity, and fragmented governance to infrastructure deficiencies, climate vulnerability, and insufficient blue finance. It also draws attention to sociocultural obstacles such as gender inequality in coastal areas, unequal access to resources, and ocean illiteracy. The paper suggests a comprehensive set of options to overcome these limitations, such as localized innovation clusters, climate-resilient company design, blended financing methods, ecosystem-based maritime spatial planning, and open governance frameworks. The necessity of enabling environments that promote cross-sector cooperation among entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers, and coastal communities is emphasized in the article. Additionally, it describes how ocean-positive businesses may grow thanks to digital ocean technology, carbon-based markets, and indigenous cultural networks. The study makes the case for a systems-thinking strategy that redefines marine entrepreneurship as ecosystem regeneration rather than resource extraction, positioning SMEs as both economic players and marine stewards. The sustainability and inclusiveness of ocean-based livelihoods, as well as their ability to adapt to global boundaries and intergenerational equality, depend on this reinterpretation.
Building Resilient Infrastructure Through Innovation Lalit Kumar, Ritu Gupta Entrepreneurship and Competitive Sustainability Innovative Approaches, 2026 The twenty-first century is characterized by an unprecedented crisis in infrastructure development that arises from massive urbanization, climate change, technological drive, and social disparity. This is why the notion of resilient infrastructure has risen to the top of the sustainable development agenda. This chapter discusses innovation as the foundation for creating and improving the resilience of infrastructure in domains including transportation, energy, health, water, and communication. Resilient infrastructure is not only about resisting shocks and stresses – be they natural disasters, cyberattacks, or pandemics – but also about the ability to adapt, recover, and transform in the face of changing conditions. Here, innovation comes in the form of new technologies, policy changes, new ways of thinking about design, harnessing big data, and community-based solutions, all of which support the ability to adapt and survive in the long run. Here, we will discuss the cases of resilient systems from around the world where AI, IoT, blockchain, and sustainable materials are being used to solve real problems. And it explores the role that smart grids, modular construction, digital twins, and predictive maintenance frameworks play in moving from being responsive in real time to disruption, being gone. The paper also explores the public–private partnerships and regulatory and participatory governance innovations that can help enable such ambitious infrastructure transformations. The difficulties that arise in attempts to scale such innovations through financial, regulatory, human resource, and adaptability constraints are also considered. The chapter proposes a multi-stakeholder strategy that combines engineering excellence with socio-environmental concerns and policy push to address these. In sum, constructing resilient infrastructure through innovation is not a one-off effort but a dynamic and ongoing process that requires cooperation, thinking ahead, and inclusiveness. By integrating resilience into the very fabric of how infrastructure is planned and implemented, societies can more effectively protect the economic prosperity, environmental health, and social welfare of their citizens in a world that no longer follows predictable patterns. This chapter can provide policymakers, engineers, researchers, and development practitioners with a comprehensive review to reconsider and redesign the infrastructure systems to be not only resilient and smart but also sustainable and equitable.
Enhanced Deepfake Detection via Boundary Discrepancies and Compression Artifacts in Densenet Architecture Preeti Rana, Kiran Utreja, Kamna Sharma, Lalit Kumar, Aayush Srivastava 2026 2nd International Conference on Cognitive Computing in Engineering Communications Sciences and Biomedical Health Informatics Ic3ecsbhi 2026, 2026 This study presents a comprehensive framework for detecting manipulated visual content, focusing on intrinsic forensic indicators-namely, boundary distortions and compressionrelated irregularities. A specialized module is developed to extract these features through Laplacian-based edge enhancement and residual analysis using the Discrete Cosine Transform. The resulting artifact representations are integrated with standard RGB data and processed through an enhanced DenseNet configuration, facilitating effective transmission of both granular and abstract visual patterns. Evaluations conducted on the DFDC benchmark reveal superior classification performance, achieving over 96 % accuracy and an AUC of 0.98, surpassing conventional convolutional and transformer-based approaches. By incorporating domain-relevant forensic signals, the proposed method demonstrates improved clarity in decision-making and resilience against post-processing effects, underscoring the importance of structured feature integration in securing digital media authenticity.
How AI is Transforming Health Care Industry: Current Applications and Future Possibilities Anu Bansal, Sanjeev Verma, Akash Doomra, Ishwani, Nitish Arora, Lalit Kumar 2026 2nd International Conference on Cognitive Computing in Engineering Communications Sciences and Biomedical Health Informatics Ic3ecsbhi 2026, 2026 AI is a formidable and radical part of information technology that has the dimensions to profoundly change the way healthcare is supported. In health care division, the usage of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{A I}$</tex> is continuously increasing at a faster rate. Healthcare institutions of all kinds and disciplines are growing more fascinated in the ways that intelligent technology has developed and is assisting with medical treatment, lowering costs, and improving performance. Instead of evaluating a few research papers that suggest using algorithms across different healthcare fields, such as medical dermatology, imaging, individualized medicine, etc., this study looks at the effects of AI on how health care is delivered and the difficulties with executing the same in the healthcare division.
Role of artificial intelligence in smart cities Lalit Kumar, Ritu Gupta, Komal Bhardwaj AI Driven Policing and Urban Security in Smart Cities, 2025 City planners are starting to have serious concerns about urbanization. Rapid, efficient, and affordable services are among the many needs of the world's residents as the urban population grows and puts more strain on available resources. To manage their city efficiently, city planners must crucially offer the necessary infrastructure support. These comprise, among other things, clean drinking water, power, infrastructure such as roads. bridges etc., housing, transit, and Information and Communications Technology (ICT). In response to growing demand in their cities, planners have turned to technology to improve service delivery, enhance residents' lives, and stimulate local and national economic growth. An overview of the many technology options accessible to planners to help them facilitate the efficient and quick delivery of services to their inhabitants is given in this chapter. Few examples of these technical solutions include big data, cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML), among others.
Real Time and Smart Flood Prediction System Using IoT and Machine Learning Model Geetika, Lalit Kumar Proceedings 2025 2nd International Conference on Electronic Circuits and Signaling Technologies Icecst 2025, 2025 This paper presents the design and implementation of an IoT-based machine learning model for dependable flood prediction. Using a wireless sensor network, real-time environmental data-including rainfall, water level, soil moisture, temperature, and humidity-are collected from well-positioned sensors in areas at high risk of flooding. The system integrates this multiple variables data into a cloud-based Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network, designed to understand time-based patterns and predict flood danger with high accuracy. Full processing of the raw data before training and normalization methods are applied to improve models performance and training efficiency. The result shows that the introduced IoT-ML architecture delivers correct and timely flood forecasting, providing the first step for generating early warning systems and getting ready early to reduce the damage and loss from floods. This work sets up a system that can handle more work when needed for intelligent flood prediction, improving the use of IoT sensing and machine learning systems that observe the environmental changes.
