MUATAZ ABDULMAJEED AL-QAZZAZ

Born on September 15th , 1958 in Mosul , Iraq . He completed his primary and secondary education in Baghdad. He joined his medical education at College of Medicine, University of Baghdad in 1976 and was graduated in 1982. He started to practice medicine in 1982.
In 1990 he Practiced psychiatry for two years in Al-Rashad Hospital for Psychiatry.
He moved to College of Medicine , University of Al-Nahrain as a doctor in the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine in late 1991.
He studied Diploma in Community Medicine in 1994.He started his postgraduate study in Forensic medicine and completed his MSc. degree in 1998.
In 2002 he completed his Fellowship of the Iraqi Council for Medical Specialization in Forensic Medicine which is equivalent to PhD degree.
In 2004 he was in charge of the forensic medicine unit at his college.
In 2006 he was scientifically promoted to assistant professor in forensic Medicine.
In 2007 he got Board certificate in forensic medicine from Jordan Medical Council, Amman, Jordan.
In 2011 he became a Professional member of the Charted Society of Forensic Sciences.
In 2013 he became the chairman of the department of pathology and forensic medicine.
In 2014 he became a member of the Arab Association of Law and Forensic Sciences.
In 2017 he joined the American Academy of Forensic Sciences as Associate Member .
In 2020 he was promoted to Member at AAFS.
He joined many debate committees in forensic medicine MSc. and PhD theses.
He published 25 papers in the field of Forensic medicine and Pathology.
He served as an editor of:
1-The Iraqi journal for Medical Sciences.
2- The Egyptian journal of Forensic Medicine and Applied Toxicology.
3- The International Journal of Ethics, Trauma and Victimology.
4- Arab Journal of Forensics Science and Forensic Medicine.
