  • Investigation of Ash Deposit Formation Dynamics in Boiler Units of Small Steam Capacity
Roman E. Lipantiev, Leysan R. Gainullina
Proceedings of the 2024 6th International Youth Conference on Radio Electronics Electrical and Power Engineering Reepe 2024, 2024
The aim of the work is to study the dynamics of ash deposits formation process at sulfur fuel oil combustion in boiler units of small steam capacity, the influence of these deposits on technical and economic characteristics of boiler operation and analysis of ways to reduce emissions of harmful substances. The aim is achieved by experimental studies, in which the object was steam boilers DE-6,5/14GM, burning fuel oils of M100 and M40 grades. With the help of a bench installation installed in the gas outlet at the flue gas outlet from the convective part of the boiler, the intensity of ash deposits formation on its heating surfaces was determined. The results of measurements were evaluated for the content of gross error according to the Romanovsky criterion. The graphical dependences describing the percentage of heat transfer coefficient losses were obtained by the calculation method. According to the results of flue gas temperature measurements the heat losses in flue gases were determined. Comparative analysis of technical and economic indicators of power plants depending on the fuel quality showed that when using low-sulfur fuel oil, the average steam capacity of the boiler unit increases to 7-9 %, while the amount of harmful substances emitted with flue gases decreases.
  • Effective Temperature on the Electric Breakdown of Transformer Oil
Hassan Jasim Mohammed, Ali Sachit Kaittan, Leysan R. Gainullina, Ahmed Ibrahim Jaber
Proceedings of the 2024 Conference of Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Elcon 2024, 2024
The aim of this work is to investigate the dependence of breakdown voltage on electrode spacing and the effect of temperature on breakdown voltage. As a result of the experimental study, the graphical dependence of the dependence of breakdown voltage and gap length on the temperature difference, the effect of temperature on the dielectric properties of transformer oil and comparison with Paschen’s law for gas were obtained. The specific dependence of E(d) and VB on gap length is influenced by factors such as electrode configuration, material properties and environmental conditions. An increase in the thermal conductivity of the oil contributes to the reduction of hot spots and temperature gradients, resulting in a more balanced distribution of the electric field along the gap length, reducing the risk of thermal breakdown and increasing the breakdown voltage.

  • Effect of Individual Sulfide on the Stability against Oxidation of Transformer Oil and Its Electrical Parameters
    and Leysan Gainullina
Problems of the Regional Energetics, 2021
This study is devoted to the improvement of the transformer oil quality, using a new inhibiting additive, since the extensively used inhibitory additive ionol is sensitive to organosulfur compounds of sulfur oils. From the earlier works, the organosulfur compounds are known to affect ambiguously the transformer oils characteristics. Therefore, it was of interest to study the individual sulfides as the inhibitory additives. The goal was achieved by the researches with the use of the model mixtures consisting of the selectively purified transformer oil (free from ionol) along with the individual sulfides, decylcyclohexylsulfide and decylfenylsulfide, at concentration of 0.5 %, Their effect on stability against oxidation of the selectively purified oil, on its electric strength and tangent of the dielectric losses’ angle was studied. The primary results obtained were, firstly, the rate slowing down of water formation in oil and of water-soluble acids formation in oil upon its oxidation in the presence of the individual sulfides, and, secondly, an increase in the electric strength and decrease in the dielectric losses compared to the transformer oil, containing ionol. It was established that decylcyclohexylsulfide inhibitory properties are stronger compared to those of decylfenylsulfide, which was testified by less quantities (by 1.8 times) of the water formed and of water-soluble acids (by 2.22 times). The introduction to oil of 0.5 % decylcyclohexylsulfide and decylfenylsulfide increased the oil electric strength, correspondingly, by 2.6 and by 5.5 times, upon water concentration in oil equal to 15·10-2 g/kg. The significance of the results obtained is in improving the transformer oil quality produced from the sulfur oils with the use of a novel additive.

In this work the description of a design of the rotating film reactor and its features. The rotating film reactor is intended for processes of homogenization of various immiscible liquids, implementation of the heterogeneous processes proceeding in system liquid-liquid in a thin film including oxidation by hydrogen peroxide of organosulfur connections of oil fractions for the purpose of receiving sulfoxides and sulfones. The design of the multisection reactor allows to change temperature, concentration of reagents on zones and to regulate time of stay of reagents in a reaction zone.

Iop Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science, 2019
Intensification of different system mixing process, particularly in non-isothermal conditions, is a critical task for many industries, where local overheating prevention, chemical reaction acceleration or heat and mass transfer coefficient increase are required. In this regard, an experimental study of the mixing process was carried out using the transformer oil as an example. Temperature equalization time in the fluid and the mixer power consumption were used as indicators of the process efficiency. The influence of the mixer type, presence of bafflers in a vessel, and the mixer speed on the fluid mixing intensity revealed the optimal design and process parameters of the mixing units.
