RETRACTION:A novel hyperparameter tuned deep learning model for power quality disturbance prediction in microgrids with attention based feature learning mechanism R. Dineshkumar, Anna Alphy, C. Kalaivanan, K. Bashkaran, Balachandra Pattanaik, T. Logeswaran, K. Saranya, Ganeshkumar Deivasikamani, A. Johny Renoald Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems, 2024 Microgrids (MGs) have become a reliable power source for supplying energy to rural areas in a secure, consistent, and low-carbon emission manner. Power quality disturbance (PQD) is a common issue that reduces the MGs networks’ reliability and restricts its usage on a small scale. The performance, reliability and lifetime of the various power devices can be affected due to the problem of PQD in the network. Researchers have proposed numerous PQD monitoring techniques based on artificial intelligence. However, they are limited to low margins and accuracy. So, this paper suggests a novel hyperparameter-tuned or optimized deep learning model with an attention-based feature learning mechanism for PQD prediction. The critical stages of the proposed work, such as data collection, feature extraction, and PQD prediction, are as follows. The PQD signals are first produced using the IEEE 1159 standard. Following that, the original time-domain features are directly recovered from the dataset, and the frequency-domain features using discrete wavelet transform (DWT). The extracted features were fed into visual geometry group 16 with multi-head attention and optimal hyperparameter-based bidirectional long short-term memory (V16MHA-OHBM) to perform spatial and temporal feature extraction. These extracted features are concatenated and given to the fully connected layer to forecast the PQD. The results showed that the suggested approach surpasses the prior state-of-the-art algorithms when trained and tested using 16 different types of synthetic noise PQD data produced using mathematical models in line with IEEE 1159.
Design and Implementation of Remote Nerve Stimulator for Cardiac Patients Rajasingam N, Padmanaban S, Ramkumar C, Ganeshkumar D 7th International Conference on Electronics Communication and Aerospace Technology Iceca 2023 Proceedings, 2023 Human heart is one of vital organs that sustain our lives and it is important to treat it as a valuable commodity. Abnormalities in heart function is perceived as one of the prominent causes of demise in the globe as a result of various issues related to the absolute working of the heart. Cardiac arrest is an unusual fall in heart functioning, alertness and respiration. Stated situations mostly arise due to the presence of complications with electrical activity of the human heart system, as a resultant worsen the ability of hearts to pump and break the continuous flow of blood in the human body. To overcome this usually an electric pulse or allowable shock was given through a defibrillator in order to normalize the heart rate. In this proposed work, a bio-signal such as an electrocardiogram (ECG) of the sufferer is frequently monitored and the relevant data are maintained in the cloud based on the developed supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) technique with regard to tackling the observed heart related complications in literature. In addition, the remote control of defibrillation is possible by employing the proposed strategy that excludes the overloading of healthcare workers.
An IoT Based Gesture Recognition System for Vocally and Hearing Impaired Individuals D. Ganeshkumar, T. Subasri, R. Kaleeshwari, R. Raksha, D. Muthukumar 2023 9th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Systems Icaccs 2023, 2023 The sign language recognition system is one of the advanced technologies for impaired to communicate with others and it can be utilized by deaf and dumb people by interacting and sharing information with others. At present, the sign language recognition system consists of two types of methodssuch as glove-based and vision-based techniques. The former usesthe gloves in which the sensors are fixed in it to detect the hand gestures while the later uses the camera to detect the hand characteristics of the user for recognizing and translating the sign languages. The paper mainly focuses on implementation of embedded system for communicating with disabled people and normal people where communication is the major challenge faced by deaf and dumb people. Most of the normal people does not understand the signs given by the disabled people and hence this will be more useful for deaf and dumb community. The main objective of the system is to develop user friendly device and to fulfill the basic need of the impaired people and to overcome their difficulty in communication. The system is designed with the flex sensors to detect the hand movements which is attached with the gloves. The gestures are detected by the sensors and the output is givenas text display, so that the user can easily convey their message with others.
Development of Continuous Health Monitoring System for Persistent Vegetative State Patients Rajasingam N, Bharatkumar P, Ganeshkumar D, Hariharan R, Tamizhan P, Soundharya R 2023 9th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Systems Icaccs 2023, 2023 Persistent Vegetative State (PVS) patients are people who have experienced serious brain damage and have been unconscious for a long time. Due to their limited capacity for environmental adaptation, they need to be continuously observed for any changes in their state. It can be difficult to continuously monitor PVS patients because standard approaches might not be able to pick up on little changes in their status. As a result, patients may experience delayed treatment and a terrible prognosis. By providing real-time monitoring of vital signs and enabling fast response to any abnormalities in the patient's condition, the suggested system for continuous monitoring of PVS patients utilizing the IoT technology can improve the treatment offered to these patients. The usage of Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and ESP32 also enables real-time data transmission and remote monitoring, substantially boosting the treatment given to PVS patients. It is intended to enable real-time monitoring of vital indicators such heart rate; temperature, sound detection, and eye blink detection for PVS patients using the suggested system for continuous monitoring. Early identification of changes in the patient's state is a feature of the system, allowing medical personnel to act quickly and enhance patient care. For instance, if the system notices an unusual temperature or heart rate, an alert can be issued to the medical team so they can take the appropriate steps to treat the problem.
Covid Cough Classification using KNN Classification Algorithm Ganeshkumar Deivasikamani, Akshay. C, Ananthakrishnan. T, Rohith. C. Manoj Proceedings International Conference on Applied Artificial Intelligence and Computing Icaaic 2022, 2022 Covid 19 is an infectious disease that is caused by infection due to SARS-CoV-2 virus. The vast majority of people infected with Corona virus will encounter mild to moderate symptoms and recover without any special treatment. In some case, some people become seriously ill and require clinical consideration. Because of the increase in number of death due to COVID-19, an techniques for the early discovery of the illness is very much needed that might assist with restricting its spread just as help in the development of targeted surrounding solutions. Coughs and other vocal sounds contain pulmonary health data that can be utilized for symptomatic purposes, and ongoing examinations in chaotic dynamics have shows a nonlinear phenomenon exists in vocal signs. Cough samples are transformed with Mel frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) and the cough audio data is fitted into a GridsearchCV model with KNN based classification algorithm. The number of training data for used for training our model is 217 and remaining 55 data were used for testing the model. The dataset contains the cough tests from both male and female. When evaluated the model could get a precision of 83.3%.
Design and Implementation of High-Speed Low Power Bi-stable Circuits for Digital Circuits Applications Arul A, Kathirvelu M, Parimala V, Ganeshkumar D Mysurucon 2022 2022 IEEE 2nd Mysore Sub Section International Conference, 2022 Today’s research and innovation environment allows for the development of fundamentally solid sophisticated digital circuits that operate at low voltage, quick, with less region and less latency. At rising clock edge, it captures 1 or 0, then creates the yield of high logic to low logic outputs. The first stage has a sensory amplifier, while the next stage is a latch. The High Sensitivity Signal Strengthening Bi-stable Circuit (HSBC) runs twice as quickly as the Master Slave bi-stable while using half the energy. When compared to other high sensitivity signal strengthening bi-stable circuits, the high sensitivity signal firming bi-stable stollo’s latch provides the comparative yields, but it has some error frequency, which is eliminated by utilizing eradicating error permitted circuit.
