  • Heat Shock Protein for Use in Cancer Vaccine Therapy: Immune Response and Immunotherapy
Dzhumaeva Lazokatkhon, Hazim Abdul Rahman Alhiti, Othman Farooq Bakr, Mudhafar A. Shafiq, Thamer Al-Hilfi, et al.
    Trends in Immunotherapy, 2025
Considering what was said about Heat Shock Proteins (HSPs) role in the presentation of tumor antigens, today, before using tumor cell extracts as antigens in vaccine preparation, researchers try to increase the efficiency of antigen presentation by APCs via inducing these proteins; however, since different cell lines express different amounts of HSPs under the influence of different temperatures and different incubation times, discussing the optimal temperature and post-temperature incubation for cancer cell lines that may cause the next stages of the production of cancer cell vaccines, will be very useful. Through systematic search in PubMed/Medline using ("Tumor"[Title/Abstract] OR "Cancer"[Title/Abstract] OR "Neoplasm"[Title/Abstract]) AND ("vaccine"[Title/Abstract] OR "vaccination"[Title/Abstract]) AND ("heat shock protein"[Title/Abstract] OR "HSP"[Title/Abstract]) from 1980 to 2025. Overall, 18 articles were selected from a total of 414. The results of clinical trials confirm the use of HSPs in cancer vaccine therapy. A total of 18 studies, including 1,116 cases with different forms of cancer, were reviewed. These studies spanned different trial phases (I–III) and utilized a range of HSP-based vaccines to evaluate their safety, immunogenicity, and efficacy. HSPPC-96 was the most commonly investigated vaccine. These results indicate that the specific tumor-specific effects of the HSPs' immune response, including cluster of differentiation 4 (CD4+), interferon gamma (IFN-γ), and CD8+, lead to a much stronger vaccination. These outcomes underscore the complexity of the tumor microenvironment and the necessity for tailored approaches to maximize therapeutic success. Advances in vaccine formulation, production, and combination therapies offer promising pathways to address these challenges.

Journal of the Faculty of Medicine Baghdad, 2021
Background: The assessments of performance in any health system is achallenging goal. Objectives: This article reviews the top healthcare systems then comparesthem to Iraqi health system. Patients and methods: The top 12 commercial Health Systems in 2020ranked by a survey of more than 20,000 international citizens from 73countries on 65 diverse metrics. These metrics vary from simple to criticalhealth system performance criteria. Results: Up to January 2020, the review shows that Canada has the top Health System. Most other top countries are Europeans. There are some strong and weak points in each health system. Iraqi health system struggles with several obstacles that need a rehabilitation. Conclusions: Iraqi health system needs some improvements. TheNetherlands Health system model improves the Iraqi health system.

  • The impact of the differential white blood cells in the diagnosis of the acute right iliac fossa pathology
Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry, 2020
Acute Right Iliac Fossa Pain is a common symptom which has shown diagnostic difficulties for the surgical emergency clinic. A White Blood Cells test is required for Acute Right Iliac Fossa Pain diagnosis. In this study, we aimed to clarify the importance of Differential White Blood Cells test for Acute Right Iliac Fossa Pain diagnosis. The present observational study was conducted in in Heet General Hospital over a period of five months included 62 patients from both genders of different ages (5-45 years) who were suffering from Acute Right Iliac Fossa Pain. All patients were subjected to Differential White Blood Cells test which was carried out in the hospital laboratory using (Hematology Pentra 60 Series HORIBA ABX SAS). A statistical analysis were then run using ANOVA and LSD tests. The analysis have shown the means of each type as follow; NEU (8.3516), LYM (31.2984), MON, (6.1952), GRA (62.6790) 10^3/mm3. Also, a comparison among all the WBCs types and also between and within groups was performed using one and two ways Analysis of Variance ANOVA tests which have shown that there are significant differences of all differentials WBCs types. p<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Based on our findings, it can be clearly stated that Differential White Blood Cells tests (not only WBC) are very important for the clear diagnosis of Acute Right Iliac Fossa Pathology.
