I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, a Master's degree, and a Doctorate in Chemistry. My research has focused on the design of materials for the catalytic photodegradation of persistent organic pollutants in water and on the production of H2 through photocatalysis. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM) as part of the Postdoctoral Fellowships in Mexico program, sponsored by the SECIHTI (Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation). My main objectives are to contribute to scientific and educational advancements in chemistry and photocatalysis, addressing environmental and energy challenges. I utilize tools such as advanced chemical analysis, materials characterization, and computational simulations to research and develop new catalytic materials and processes. In my teaching, I enjoy sharing my scientific knowledge with students, combining research with practical laboratory work to reinforce their understanding and prep

FUTURE PROJECTS

New materials for obtaining quality water in Mexico and Spain

The aim is to synthesize new materials from organic waste and functionalize them for use in degrading POPs in water. This project seeks to foster collaboration between students and researchers from the Chemistry Department of the Metropolitan Autonomous University (Mexico) and the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Barcelona (Spain). The goal is to consolidate this area of ​​research by synthesizing, characterizing, and evaluating materials that eliminate the main pollutants in Mexico and Spain.
