This blend aims to specifically reduce the overall harmonic distortion. When comparing the Unified SVPWM with an alternative inverter PWM, the former demonstrates superior performance across a wide spectrum of speeds. Unified SVPWM demonstrates to display a lower Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) when compared with SVPWM by means of alternative inverter PWM with the help of swarm technology. Due to recommended attributes like efficiency and precise controllability, the said inverters discover is in the state of multidisciplinary problem, where in decision making tools may be required. Swarm Intelligence tool (PSO) is selected to handle the problem so that a decision making for the energy efficiency. The outcome of this research is to design 2-Level Inverter for the recent technology of USV-PWM for AC Machine along with Swarm Intelligence.
Techniques for Discrete Mitigation and Control in Four Area System With DFIG System Gaurav Jain, Ritu Tak, Bhuvnesh Rathore, Mayengbam Sashilal Singh, Aashiq Hussain 2026 6th International Conference on Advances in Electrical Computing Communications and Sustainable Technologies Icaect 2026, 2026 Distributed power (DP) generation through solar and wind energy holds immense potential in meeting future energy demands. Recent advancements in grid technology enable efficient utilization of local energy sources, minimizing transmission line losses and facilitating enhanced power distribution capabilities. This study focuses on examining the impacts of disturbances and faults within a four-area system linked to a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) using discrete-time modeling. The primary control approach within the four-area system involving the DFIG incorporates various discrete-time Power System Stabilizers (PSSs). A comparative analysis of time-domain responses is conducted across various scenarios, including systems without controllers (no PSS), systems equipped with traditional PSSs such as Delta Omega, Multi-Band, Delta Pa and Fuzzy Logic (FL) based PSSs. A discrete-time mode PSS is specifically tailored for the silent-pole synchronous generator associated with the DFIG system. To assess the performance of the Fuzzy Logic (FL) controller in ensuring power system stability, a test DFIG model is employed. Time-domain simulations of the test DFIG model are carried out using the MATLAB/Simulink (R2015a) environment.
Performance Evaluation of Grid-Connected Solar Power Plant for Utility Load Utilising Reactive Power Compensation Khushaboo, Virendra Sharma, Vikas Kumar Sharma, Harsh Shrivastava, Garima Mathur, Gaurav Jain 2026 6th International Conference on Advances in Electrical Computing Communications and Sustainable Technologies Icaect 2026, 2026 This manuscript illustrates a method to analyze a grid-connected 400 kWp solar renewable energy source as active power compensation (APC) with 400 kVAr reactive power compensation (RPC) for utility network load. This strategy to reduce the consequences of utility grid load demand and also promote the use of renewable sources of energy (RESs). APC is achieved by optimistic use of solar power plant (SPP) with the help of voltage source converter (VSC) which is controlled by using parallel DC link capacitor and synchronous reference frame theory (SRFT) techniques. A prosed test system (PTS) has mostly two buses one is taken for APC from solar PV system as DC bus and second is taken for traditional grid (G) as infinite bus as well as AC bus or load bus to integrate the utility network load for the evaluating the performance as contribution of power exchange and PQ enhancement by switching event. DC bus is used for contribution of green energy from SPP to utility network load by using DC to AC inverter topology through point of common coupling (PCC) which is used to measure the data of grid as well as load parameter for the performance analysis of GCSPVS. The utility network loads have designed as L1 300 kW; 300 kVAr and L2 1 MW; 1 MVAr connected through circuit breakers (CBs) for the event of ON/OFF switch the loads with and without capacitor bank as energy storage system (ESS), the PTS can provide power for the intended utility load and contribution of APC as well as RPC successfully implemented for all potential loads. Additionally, diagnosis the power quality (PQ) in terms of total harmonic distortions (THD's) as well as switching impact on grid parameters as voltage/current signal is evaluated to be more than 66.68 % & 28.95 % respectively when SPP integrated with and without ESS.

Optimization of two-wheeler Bike engine among three different designs using design of experiments Manish Dadhich, Vikas Sharma, Gaurav Jain, K. Loganathan, V. Karunakaran, Mohamed Abbas, P. Subhashini Heliyon, 2024 This research presents the results of a fin heat transfer study of three different models of the motorcycle engine. The objective of this study is to minimize the external body temperature because the optimum design will be found when the heat transfer rate is maximized. The study obtains the procurement of a balance between the outer boundary temperature due to convective heat transfer and air-cooled fin design. Heat transfer coefficient varies according to wind velocity (Km/hr) and Nusselt Number. The analysis was performed on three different engine models, named A, B and C. The optimum design was design B through simulation which has lower temperature gain, lower deformation and lower normal stress. DOE (Design of Experiments) was performed on the optimum design of the engine among all with three parameters thickness of fin, size of fin, and shape of fin, and again analysis was performed according to DOE cases. The material used for manufacturing the models was aluminum alloy 6061 which has a thermal conductivity of 200 W/mK. The study was performed on the designed models by taking the outer boundary temperature of 750oC. The heat transfer coefficient was about 77.28 W/m2K at 40 Km/h velocity.
Dynamic Step Size Based Maximum Power Point Tracking in PV Systems Pankaj Verma, Gaurav Jain, Rachit Saxena, Vaishali Sonwane 2024 5th IEEE Global Conference for Advancement in Technology Gcat 2024, 2024 The traditional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms operates with a fixed value of the step size, this operation causes a delayed convergence and more power variations in the MPPT process. The updating of the step size with the distance of operating point from the maximum power point (MPP) helps in controlling the algorithm convergence time. To solve this problem, in this paper, incremental conductance algorithm is modified with the inclusion of dynamic value of step size. In the proposed work, a dynamic step size based incremental conductance (DSINC) algorithm is coined, the step size of this algorithm is not fixed but depends upon the distance of operating point from the MPP, this results in a high value of step size at a point away from MPP and a small value at the point close to the MPP. The implementation of algorithm is carried out on a simple photovoltaic (PV) system consisting of dc-dc converter. The working of the DSINC is compared with the traditional INC to draw a general comparison, the results are obtained by simulating the PV system model in the Simulink platform of the MATLAB.
