Impact of fermi level engineering on the conductive behavior of MLGNR for nano-scale interconnects Himanshu Sharma, Jarnail Singh Next Nanotechnology, 2026 The Moore law for scaling of nodes of technology nodes has led to the major advancement in chip design and functionality. With the downscaling of technological nodes, the efficiency of gate becomes insignificant compared to the interconnect performance. Graphene nanoribbons have demonstrated remarkable potential and outstanding performance as on-chip interconnects. To analyze the parasitic behavior of multi-layer graphene nanoribbons (MLGNRs), an ESC model representing an electrically equivalent single conductor is proposed, incorporating an analytical approach. This model is used to investigate the impact of intercalation doping on the performance of MLGNRs across 16 nm, 22 nm, and 32 nm technology nodes. The analysis demonstrates that intercalation doping raises the Fermi energy of MLGNR layers, resulting in improved conductivity. Further, the study examines how variations in Fermi energy affect the parasitic parameters of MLGNR interconnects over global interconnect lengths ranging from 500 to 2000μm. The performance of MLGNRs is evaluated using the SPICE simulation tool, focusing on delay and power-delay product (PDP). The outcomes indicate that increased Fermi energy enhances MLGNR interconnect performance by reducing both delay and PDP across all three nodes of technology.
Recent Progress in 5D Printing: Processes, Materials, Applications, and Future Trends Mohit Kumar, Jarnail Singh, Gaurav Arora, Ranvijay Kumar, Sanjay Mavinkere Rangappa, Suchart Siengchin Advanced Materials Technologies, 2026 Additive manufacturing (AM) has evolved from 3D to 4D and 5D printing to support the manufacturing of more complex and efficient products. Although 4D printing is capable of manufacturing products with the configuration of shape transformation or functional adaptability under external stimuli, 5D printing provides the ease of high structural complexity and mechanical strength to the manufactured parts. Eliminating the requirement for support materials is another advantage of 5D printing over 3D and 4D printing to save time and materials. 5D printing marks a major advancement by allowing multi‐axis movement during fabrication, resulting in more robust, curved, and efficient structures. This technology advances 3D printing, enabling the manufacturing of highly customized, mechanically resilient components. In the healthcare sector, 5D printing enhances the design and performance of implants, prosthetics, and tissue‐engineered scaffolds, align with patient‐specific needs. For food industries, it supports the development of complex food architectures for personalized nutrition, improved texture, and optimized nutrient delivery. This review focuses on the state‐of‐the‐art review of reported materials for 5D printing, technological advancements and its application perspectives in the healthcare and food industries. In addition, future trends and challenges in 5D printing in driving innovation and opening new frontiers have presented.
A Comprehensive Review on Applications of Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves: A Non-Invasive Technique for Geophysical Studies Kaushal Kumar, Rishabh Arora, Jarnail Singh, Umank Mishra, Subhav Singh, Pankaj Kumar, Nishant Yadav, Prawar Prawar Wseas Transactions on Environment and Development, 2026 This article provides a summary of recent work on geological properties utilizing Multichannel Surface Waves Analysis (MASW), one of the most practical and non-intrusive seismic exploration techniques available today. The estimation of the subsurface shear wave velocity profile over a vast area is less expensive than conventional borehole sounding tests. Shear wave velocity is an important metric that provides an immediate indication of the dynamic properties of soil. However, from the perspective of analyzing recorded raw data, generating dispersion images, and deriving inversion profiles, identifying the shear wave velocity profile is extremely complex and difficult. The main goal of the MASW technique is to obtain an appropriate dispersion image. The quality of the input sources and the geophone characteristics (such as frequency, spacing, and orientation arrangement) has a significant impact on the quality of the recorded data set which in turn gets reflected in resolution of the dispersion images. This study also discusses specific recommendations for data acquisition parameters based on a number of prior studies. The sub-surface profile depth range depends on the wavelengths generated by the input technique used, which afterwards categorizes as two techniques commonly used as Active MASW and Passive MASW. This paper provides a detailed review of the various wave field propagation and usefulness approaches frequently linked with MASW methodology. With the aid of various case studies, the uses and advantages of the related methodologies have been shown. Several studies demonstrate that combining active and passive approaches yields better results.
