ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN ECONOMICS

Dr. C. JEEVA M.A, M.Phil. NET, Ph.D is the Assistant Professor in Economics, Providence College for Women, Coonoor, The Nilgiris District. She is enriched with 7 Years of teaching experience and gained 4 Years of research experience. She has published 4 national level and 10 International level journals approved by UGC. She has also presented 15 papers at the National level seminar and honored the best research paper award titled “Revolution in Education System – K12 Education System and its Presence in India” by Research Development Association & Research Development Research Foundation, Jaipur in 2016. Her area of interest includes the Education System, climate change, food adulteration, Misleading Advertisements, solar cooking, poverty, food security, and labour Economics. She has published an extensively edited chapter book titled “A Study on E-Commerce and Consumer Protection in India: Challenges and Remedies” in 2019. She has been an active member of the college Placement Cell during 2013-2017. She is a sports and cultural Co-coordinator of Department Extension activity organised for Sarguru Adivasi children from 2014 to till date. Gradually she is an active member of the college Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) from 2017 to till date. Recently she successfully underwent SWAYAM (MHRD) examination on Managerial Economics in 2019.
