El Dr. Jesús Javier Alcántar Peña es Ingeniero en Electrónica por el Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Cajeme (ITESCA), Maestro en Ciencias de Materiales por el Centro de Investigación en Materiales Avanzados (CIMAV-Monterrey) y Doctor en Ciencias en Electrónica por la Universidad de Sonora.

Inició su trayectoria internacional como investigador asociado en la University of Texas at Dallas, participando en proyectos estratégicos con industria y gobierno, destacando en la ejecución y liderazgo técnico de iniciativas de investigación aplicada.

Actualmente, se desempeña como Gerente de Semiconductores y Microtecnologías en CIDESI, donde lidera el desarrollo de capacidades tecnológicas en microfabricación, sensores y procesos basados en silicio, así como la articulación de proyectos con impacto en la industria nacional. Su trabajo se centra en el diseño, fabricación y validación de sensores, así como en la integración de tecnologías emergentes hacia soluciones aplicadas y con potencial de
