Leveraging Deep Learning for Live Attendance Monitoring in the Class Rushikesh Borse, Shripad Bhatalawande, Swati Shilaska, Avinash Bhute, Jyoti Madake, Anjali Solanke, Harsha Bhute, Rajas Chitale Engineered Science, 2026 Even in the current times, many institutes still follow the traditional practice of taking attendance manually which is time-consuming.It has several problems like: proxy-attendance, manual record keeping of data, sharing etc.To overcome these problems, a paperless-automated attendance monitoring technique is proposed, which is implemented using deep-learning models. The system is unique in many aspects compared to other automatic attendance monitoring systems.Firstly, it quickly creates a versatile database of participants using the Structural Similarity Index metric. This ensures that the database of the subject is collected in numerous, yet unique poses. This improves the detection accuracy of the deep learning model. The second significant feature addresses the issue of an unknown subject. This is implemented using Deep Open Classification method. The third important factor is about data management. While attendance is marked live without disturbing the regular teaching in the class, the same is also recorded systematically with the help of SQL database, and a weekly update of this attendance is automatically reported by email to faculty and the guardian. The whole procedure was implemented using various deep learning models and the best of the results was recorded using the deep learning EfficientNet model with an accuracy of 97.8%.
Automated real-time cervical cancer diagnosis using NVIDIA Jetson Nano Pallavi Mulmule, Swati Shilaskar, Shripad Bhatlawande, Vedant Mulmule, Vaishali H Kamble, Jyoti Madake Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, 2025 Cervical cancer is a global health concern, making early detection critical for ensuring effective treatment outcomes. Screening technique, the Papanicolaou test (Pap test), has been adopted globally for timely detection. Nevertheless, the process of screening is subjective. The current study aims to advance the development of an automated real time framework for cervical cell analysis for early-stage diagnosis using supervised classification on NVIDIA Jetson Nano platform. Our approach, leveraging adaptive fuzzy k-means (AFKM) clustering and k-means clustering, extracts distinctive features from cervical cell images for accurate classification. Utilizing multilayer perceptron (MLP) and support vector machine (SVM) classifiers, we achieved a classification accuracy of 97%, highlighting the potential of our system for real-time applications in cervical cancer investigation. Validation by two expert pathologists further supports the system’s practical utility.
A gamified online learning environment with comprehensive assessments and software integration Swati Shilaskar, Shripad Bhatlawande, Rupali Deshpande, Shivam Shinde, Jyoti Madake, Anjali Solanke International Journal of Advances in Applied Sciences, 2025 The National Achievement Survey (NAS), conducted by the Ministry of Education, India, highlighted a concerning decline in mathematics proficiency among students in Maharashtra as they advance through grades. This trend is further aggravated by the limited availability of online resources in Marathi, hindering their learning progress. To address this, a pilot study was proposed to develop a specialized online platform tailored for Marathi medium students, integrating gamification and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven feedback to enhance engagement and comprehension. The pilot project, conducted at a Marathi medium school with approval from the principal, focused on polynomial division tests for 8th-grade students over four days. Results revealed that despite the easy level test's higher difficulty, students scored higher on the medium level test, possibly due to an adjustment period to the online platform. Notably, some students performed better on the hard-level test, indicating the platform's potential to improve performance. While promising, the study's limitations, including a small sample size, highlight the need for further research with a larger cohort and the integration of automatic suggestions for concept-specific games and assessments in future iterations to optimize the platform's effectiveness.
A scalable structure-from-motion framework for efficient 2D-to-3D reconstruction of historical artifacts Swati Shilaskar, Shripad Bhatlawande, Sourjadip Pramanik, Anshul Surana, Jyoti Madake, Anjali Solanke Journal of Integrated Science and Technology, 2025 Virtual museums are becoming increasingly popular, offering accessibility and engagement with historical artifacts for wider audiences. However, creating high-quality 3D models of artifacts can be time-consuming and expensive. Addressing these issues, we propose a comprehensive SFM based 2D-to-3D reconstruction method that enhances accessibility and scalability. Our approach integrates efficient camera calibration achieving up to 95% accuracy, robust feature detection and matching using algorithms such as SIFT, ORB, and AKAZE, and employs pose estimation, triangulation, and bundle adjustment to ensure high accuracy and detail. The method is lightweight, minimizing computational load, and is implemented on a user-friendly web-based platform. The solution demonstrated promising results, with reprojection errors as low as 15%, and effective 3D reconstructions of artifacts. Applications include virtual museums and the preservation and virtualization of artifacts, providing an interactive and immersive experience for users.
Edu3D: From Diagrams to Interactive 3D Models Jyoti Madake, Aymaan Kazi, Pushkar Kulkarni Proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Intelligent Computing Information and Control Systems Icoiics 2025, 2025 Monocular depth estimation is a fundamental challenge in 3D reconstruction, enabling applications from robotics to virtual content creation. This study presents an optimized pipeline for converting single-view depth predictions into high-quality 3D meshes ready for Blender integration. Our approach begins with bilateral filtering of raw depth maps to reduce noise while preserving edges, followed by K-means clustering to segment the scene into geometrically meaningful regions. We then apply farthest point sampling to maintain structural integrity during downsampling, and reconstruct the surface using both Poisson reconstruction (for organic shapes) and ball pivoting (for sharp features). The resulting mesh is exported in industry-standard formats (PLY/OBJ) for seamless Blender integration. Our experiments demonstrate that this preprocessing and meshing pipeline significantly improves the usability of monocular depth estimation outputs for 3D modeling applications. The method balances computational efficiency with mesh quality, making it practical for real-time workflows while preserving critical geometric details.

NeuroDrive: An EEG-Based System for Virtual Driving and Robotic Car Navigation Jyoti Madake, Dhruvesh Kamble, Santosh Kandhare, Kapil Sangameshwar 2nd Asian Conference on Intelligent Technologies Acoit 2025, 2025 Brain–Computer Interfaces (BCIs) have emerged as promising tools for enabling hands-free control of external devices, particularly in assistive technology. This paper presents the development of a low-cost, non-invasive EEG-based mobility control system capable of interpreting four directional commands: Forward, Stop, Left, and Right. EEG signals are acquired using the Bio Amp EXG Pill and streamed via a Raspberry Pi Pico to a host PC. A dual-model machine learning architecture is implemented, with one binary classifier trained to distinguish Forward vs Stop and another for Left vs Right. Real-time classification is performed using features extracted from filtered EEG signals, and predicted commands are transmitted via serial communication to a Maker UNO board, which drives a DC motor-based robotic car. Among the models evaluated, the Random Forest classifier achieved the highest accuracy of 60.28%. The proposed architecture demonstrates real-time response and modularity, offering a practical and scalable solution for EEG-based assistive mobility. Future enhancements include onboard inference, GUI overlays, and expanded command sets.
