Dr. Ashraf Youssef Nasr is a professor in the Department of Anatomy & Embryology at Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt and King Abdulaziz University, Faculty of Medicine, Jeddah, KSA. He holds an , MSc & MD in Anatomy & Embryology. After completion of his MD in Zagazig University, he went on King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for teaching in Department of Anatomy, Histology & Embryology. He has published about 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals including Folia Morphologica, Anatomic Science international, Cancer Cell International, Toxicology Report, Life Science, Saudi Medical Journal, Neurosciences, Microscopic Research and Technique, Acta Histochemica, and Anatomy and cell Biology. He is an editor and reviewer of over 50 peer-reviewed medical journals. He is frequently invited as a speaker and a faculty member in the international scientific conferences organized by different Biology, Anatomy, toxicology and Neurology and anthropology departments in different American, European, Asian and African Universities. He has been awarded numerous research awards including the Anatomy & Embryology Department in Zagazig and King Abdulaziz Universities.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Prof. Ashraf Youssef Nasr is a professor of Anatomy & Embryology with particular interest in clinical, experimental & surgical anatomy, Teratology and Anomalies Toxicology, and Histology, Histopathology & Ultrastructure, Immunohistochemistry and Neuro-anatomy. His main research interests are variations, teratology and the toxic effects on the structures of the different body organs and systems including gastro-intestinal, CNS, CVS and musculoskeletal. He is particularly keen in collaborating with many specialties to innovate diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for different diseases.
