  • AI-Driven Smart Farming for Automated Plant Health Monitoring and Nutrient Deficiency Detection
    J. Serin, G.Gifta Jerith, V. Ebenezer, K.Arul Jeyaraj, A. Jenefa, et al.
Asean Journal of Scientific and Technological Reports, 2026
Precision agriculture is transitioning to continuous, data-driven monitoring. Affordable sensors and edge intelligence enable near real-time crop oversight. Manual scouting is labor-intensive and inconsistent. Delayed detection of nutrient stress leads to increased yield loss and input waste. Legacy systems monitor soil or weather in isolation and depend on periodic human checks. Vision pipelines often use shallow models and are not connected to field actuators. Proposed work: We combine soil moisture, temperature, and humidity sensing with camera-based leaf analysis using a DenseNet 121 classifier. A microcontroller executes closed-loop irrigation and localized cooling, with a mobile app for telemetry and alerts. RGB leaf images were captured in field conditions and labeled by experts into healthy and deficiency classes. Images were resized to 224×224 and split into training, validation, and test sets by plot to avoid leakage. DenseNet 121 achieved 89.0% accuracy on a held-out test set and surpassed a MobileNet V2 baseline of 82.0% under identical training conditions. Prototype deployments reduced manual checks and improved response to moisture and heat stress. The integrated IoT and AI pipeline is practical for early detection of nutrient deficiencies and autonomous actuation in small plots and greenhouses.

2nd International Conference on Intelligent Cyber Physical Systems and Internet of Things Icoici 2024 Proceedings, 2024
Data in AI-Empowered Electric Vehicles is protected by using blockchain technology for immutable and verifiable transactions, in addition to high-strength encryption methods and digital signatures. This research paper compares and evaluates the security mechanisms for V2X communication in AI-enabled EVs. The purpose of the study is to ensure the reliability of security measures by evaluating performance metrics including false positive rate, false negative rate, detection accuracy, processing time, communication latency, computational resources, key generation time, and throughput. A comprehensive experimental approach is implemented using a diverse dataset gathered from actual V2X communication condition. The evaluation reveals that the security mechanisms perform inconsistently. Message integrity verification obtains the highest detection accuracy with a low false positive rate of 2% and a 0% false negative rate. Traffic encryption has a low processing time, requiring only 10 milliseconds for encryption and decryption, and adds only 5 bytes of communication latency to V2X messages. The detection accuracy of intrusion detection systems is adequate at 95%, but they require more computational resources, consuming 80% of the CPU and 150 MB of memory. In particular attack scenarios, certificate-based authentication and secure key exchange show promise. Certificate-based authentication mitigates MitM attacks with a false positive rate of 3% and a false negative rate of 1%. Secure key exchange thwarts replication attacks with a false positive rate of 0 and a false negative rate of 2. Nevertheless, their efficacy varies based on the attack scenario, highlighting the need for adaptive security mechanisms. The evaluated security mechanisms exhibit varying rates of throughput. Message integrity verification and traffic encryption accomplish high throughput, enabling 1 Mbps and 800 Kbps, respectively, of secure data transfer rates. Overall, the results contribute to the comprehension of V2X communication security challenges in AI-enabled EVs. Message integrity verification and traffic encryption have emerged as effective mechanisms that provide robust security with high performance. The study provides insight for designing secure and dependable V2X communication systems. Future research should concentrate on enhancing V2X communication's security mechanisms and exploring novel approaches to resolve emerging threats.

Recently, a main challenging issues for rural electrification and remote areas are having limited power consumption or without grid connection access. Especially, the global concerns towards weather changes, clean and sustainable energy system, reducing fuel costs, reliable renewable sources and environmental impact to assure the feasible energy demand. To accomplish this problem, this study examines a hybrid renewable energy source (RES) such as solar panel system, wind system, Battery System (BS), Diesel Generators system (DG) for a selected three off-grid locations such as Aralvaimozhi, Kamuthi, and Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu, India with different climate weather conditions. Additionally, fuel-based generator energy sources are designed, investigated and compared with hybrid RES to estimate the feasible solution in technical and economic indicators with the help of hybrid renewable source optimization model (HOMER) tool. Meanwhile, an optimal solution to find the sensitivity performance is covered with a help of specific parameters such as solar insolation level, wind speed, generator belongs to load follow strategy (LF), cycle charge (CC) and combined charge (CD) for the proposed system. Therefore, the obtained optimal behaviour for the hybrid solar-wind speed with battery, DG source is compared over the selected locations to find the energy efficient and cost configuration. Consequently, the designed system gives lowest level of cost of net present cost, energy cost and air pollution reduction in carbon as well as fuel utilization. Finally, the consequence of this present study project that renewable energy potential for each location for the proposed hybrid system should be viable and feasible.

2023 International Conference on Energy Materials and Communication Engineering Icemce 2023, 2023
Accurate prediction of the state of charge (SOC) of electric vehicle (EV) batteries is essential for improving the operational efficiency, reliability and lifetime. The SOC of EV batteries is predicted comprehensively in this work utilizing machine learning (ML) techniques and a prototype. Using an on-board diagnostics system (OBD) during real-time drives, information on battery characteristics and SOC was gathered. The best models for predicting SOC were determined to be random forest regression and recurrent neural networks. A Grafana dashboard was created to show battery SOC estimates in real-time after a prototype was produced, tested, and confirmed. This methodology can help EV users to optimize their driving range and reduce battery damage due to over-discharge.
  • COPD Assessment Through Multimodal Analysis: Exploiting the Synergy of CNNs and LSTM Networks
Jenefa A, Edward Naveen V, Ebenezer V, K. Rajkumar, M. Vargheese, et al.
International Conference on Self Sustainable Artificial Intelligence Systems Icssas 2023 Proceedings, 2023
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a prevalent respiratory condition that requires accurate assessment for effective management. The paper proposes a novel approach that leverages the combined power of CNNs and LSTM networks for COPD assessment through multimodal analysis. The objective of the study is to enhance the accuracy and reliability of COPD diagnosis by exploiting the synergy between CNNs and LSTM networks using a comprehensive dataset comprising lung function measurements, clinical history, and imaging data. Existing systems for COPD assessment often rely on single-modal analysis, limiting the effectiveness of the diagnosis. In contrast, our proposed approach integrates multiple modalities, including lung function measurements, clinical history, and imaging data, to capture a more comprehensive representation of the disease. Experimental evaluation on the dataset showcases the superior performance of our model, achieving an accuracy above 95 % and outperforming existing systems in terms of precision, recall, and Fl-score. The fusion of CNNs and LSTM networks enables the model to extract relevant features and capture temporal dependencies, enhancing the overall COPD assessment performance. These findings highlight the potential of multimodal analysis and the synergy between CNNs and LSTM networks for accurate and reliable early detection and diagnosis of COPD. The research contributes to improving the management and treatment outcomes of the debilitating respiratory condition.
  • Decoding and Analysing Consumer Feedback for Companies and Goods using Machine Learning

Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Smart Energy Icais 2023, 2023
Over the past ten years, the number of internet users has increased tremendously. Due to the e- commerce industry's fast growth, practically all goods are now sold online. Before making a purchasing choice, the customer gets comprehensive information on the items they are interested in. Customer opinions and reviews assist businesses and other consumers in making wise decisions and enhancing the purchasing experience. It is getting harder to comprehend and keep track of every customer's wants since the number of individuals leaving evaluations is increasing quickly. Some evaluations, which make it more time-consuming and challenging to analyse for business, are purposefully overly lengthy, unclear, incomplete, and short. A customer Feedback Evaluation System is needed to address this issue since it will track every one of those evaluations and offer statistical data for improving the manufacturer's quality and functionality. The suggested approach uses machine learning to give each word a certain amount of weight.

Proceedings of the International Conference on Electronics and Renewable Systems Icears 2022, 2022
Agriculture has a big and crucial role in the growth of the country. As a result of climate change, the agricultural scientific system is coping with a host of difficulties. Machine learning (ML) is the most efficient approach to solving issues by generating good and efficient solutions. Crop yield prediction comprises calculating a crop's production based on historical data and a number of variables such as weather, soil, water, and temperature. The application of the Linear Regression approach to estimate agricultural productivity based on previous year's data is examined and defined in this project. The project's purpose is to discover a solution to the problem of cost loss. The models are created using real-world agricultural data and then evaluated on samples. The crop yield prediction model will help end-users (farmers) anticipate crop production before planting crops on agricultural land. To predict accurate results, the Linear Regression Machine algorithm is applied. The availability of a large dataset will enhance the decision-making model's improvement.
