She has a Masters in Forensic Science and Ph.D in Cyber Forensics formerly served as Senior Scientific Officer at the Forensic Sciences Department, Government of Tamilnadu for 23 years. She was appointed as Assistant Professor at the Centre for Cyber Forensics and Information Security, University of Madras in the year 2014 and served as Director at the Centre. She has brought out a book titled “Cyber Tales” for children dealing with Cyber Security Awareness. She organized a landmark program first of its kind in the country Cyber Security Awareness Program (CSAP) in several Schools and Colleges in which several students participated in this program. She has also conducted a Cyber Security Awareness Rally by giving awareness to children, college students, and also general public. She has a couple of National Awards in the field of Cyber Forensics from Ministry of Home Affairs, India.
