This study presents a mathematical model for analyzing the reliability and maintenance of a repairable cyber-physical system (CPS) while incorporating a discounted rate for repair costs over time. Cyber-physical systems, which integrate computational and physical components, are critical in modern infrastructure, yet their maintenance optimization remains a challenging problem. The proposed model accounts for the time value of money by introducing a discounted rate, enabling a more realistic evaluation of long-term maintenance costs. The system's failure and repair processes are modeled using probabilistic methods, and the discounted rate is integrated into the cost function to optimize maintenance policies. Numerical simulations and a case study are conducted to validate the model, demonstrating its effectiveness in reducing maintenance costs while ensuring system reliability. The results highlight the significance of incorporating discounted rates in maintenance planning for CPS, off
