Soma Bhowmick, currently Vice Chancellor, William Carey University, Meghalaya, is a life long political science and social science student is a DOCUMENTATION EXPERT, her career spans more than 25 yrs, post-qualifications. She is involved in administration in higher education, facilitation, curriculum development, research, thesis supervision and evaluation, networking, counseling, project management, capacity building of NGOs, monitoring and evaluation of large scale programs for national and international agencies. She has worked in conflict zones with MSF-Holland. She has attended several seminars, conferences and workshops at home and abroad, inter alia she continues to be invited as a resource person. She is a Gold Medalist and a University Topper and a PhD in Public Administration. She is a constant learner. A Law graduate and a trained teacher with B.Ed. degree, she also has Post Graduate Diplomas in Urban Environmental Management and Law, in UN and International Understanding
