  • Birth Health Tourism’s Ascent: International Maternity Care in an Internationalized World
    Nitin Gupta, Vikas Sharma
Evolution and Future Trajectory of Birth Health Tourism, 2026
This study investigates the growing phenomenon of birth health tourism, where individuals travel internationally to give birth for reasons including high-quality care, legal protections, and birthright citizenship. Using a mixed-methods approach—surveys, interviews, and policy analysis—the research focuses on birth tourists in the U.S., Canada, UAE, and Thailand. Findings show most tourists are affluent, medically low-risk, and motivated by strategic benefits for their child. Despite positive outcomes, birth tourism poses financial and administrative burdens on public health systems, and raises legal, ethical, and equity concerns. The study recommends policy reforms including clearer regulations, insurance requirements, and culturally competent care. It concludes that birth tourism reflects broader global trends in migration, reproductive autonomy, and the commodification of healthcare.
  • AI-Powered Recipe Recommendation Systems and Their Role in Personalized Nutrition
    Vikas Sharma, Nitin Gupta
AI and the Future of Smart Cooking, 2025
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing personalized nutrition through intelligent recipe recommendation systems that adapt to individual dietary needs, preferences, and health goals. These systems utilize machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and user-generated data to curate meal suggestions that align with personal health profiles, such as allergies, fitness objectives, medical conditions, or cultural preferences. By analyzing nutritional content, consumption patterns, and user feedback, AI-driven platforms enhance user engagement and foster healthier eating habits. Moreover, integration with wearable devices and health apps allows for real-time dietary tracking and adaptive recommendations. Despite promising outcomes, challenges such as data privacy, algorithm transparency, and user trust remain critical. This paper explores the mechanisms, benefits, and limitations of AI-powered recipe recommendation systems and emphasizes their potential to transform modern dietary practices into personalized, data-driven nutrition models.
  • The Methods of Visually Impaired Navigating and Obstacle Avoidance
    Siddharth Shahani, Nitin Gupta
International Conference on Applied Intelligence and Sustainable Computing Icaisc 2023, 2023
Blindness is a widespread problem that affects people all around the globe. People with this condition have a very difficult time navigating on their own and seeing impediments. Thus, an integrated implementation of the Web of Things & predictive analytics is necessary for properly recognizing impediments. For the blind and visually handicapped to be able to move about freely, they need to be able to sense obstacles and be warned of their presence. First, data on the location and kind of barrier has to be collected, and only then can it be sent to those with visual impairments through other means of communication, such as speech. Using the tensor flow object identification model and the Google voice model, we demonstrate a solution to assist the visually handicapped. The idea has two main parts: environment data and an analytical representation. Using a tensor flow object detection model, it first attempts to analyze the surroundings for obstacles that visually impaired individuals are likely to encounter, and then it tries to relay that knowledge to those persons in the form of spoken words.
