Dr. K. Madhuri is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, Telangana. She completed her M.Sc.- Biotechnology and received her Ph.D. degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana based on her doctoral thesis titled “Epidemiology and Cytogenetic Biomonitoring of Cancer Patients exposed to Anti Carcinogenic agents from Rural and Urban areas of A.P., India”. Her research interests lie in the broad areas of Microbiology, Plant Biotechnology, Cytogenetics and Environmental Biotechnology.
Specifically, her research focuses on the following areas: 1) Epidemiological studies of cancer patients 2) Cytogenetic analysis of gastric cancer patients 3) Antioxidants levels in farmers occupationally exposed to pesticides 4) Clinical Relevance of Vitamin C among lead Exposed Infertile Men 5) Molecular Identification of Bio surfactant producing Bacteria.
