FetalNet 1.0: TOPSIS-Guided Ensemble Learning with Genetic Feature Selection and SHAP Explainability for Fetal Health Classification from Cardiotocography Shweta, Neha Gupta, Meenakshi Gupta, Massimo Donelli, Yogita Arora, Achin Jain Computers, 2026 Fetal health assessment is a crucial aspect of prenatal care, aimed at the early detection of potential complications to ensure optimal outcomes for both mother and child. Traditional methods, such as the visual analysis of cardiotocography (CTG) data by healthcare professionals, are valuable but often subjective and time-consuming. This work investigates the application of machine learning techniques, with a focus on ensemble learning, to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of fetal health classification based on CTG data. Genetic Algorithm (GA) is employed for optimal feature selection, identifying the most discriminative subset of CTG attributes to improve model performance and reduce computational complexity. We employ a combination of advanced machine learning models, including AdaBoost, Gaussian Naïve Bayes, Decision Tree, k-nearest neighbors (KNN), and Logistic Regression. The top two models were selected based on comprehensive performance metrics using the TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method. These models were then integrated through ensemble learning approaches, such as stacking, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) weighted averaging, and soft voting, to improve prediction reliability. Our proposed stacking ensemble model achieves a remarkable accuracy of 97.9%, demonstrating its potential as a robust, data-driven tool for fetal health monitoring and the early identification of at-risk pregnancies. The results indicate that machine learning can effectively complement traditional fetal health assessment methods by providing an objective framework to support clinical decision-making.
Channel-aware outage modeling for dual-hop mixed optical wireless communication systems Anshul Vats, Meenakshi Gupta, Shilpi Pal, Yogita Arora, Neera Aggarwal, Mona Aggarwal Journal of Optical Communications, 2025 This paper presents an in-depth analysis of the outage performance in a dual-hop mixed communication system that combines Free Space Optical (FSO) and Underwater Optical Communication (UWOC) links. The closed-form expressions of the outage probability of the system are derived, while considering practical channel conditions. Specifically, the FSO hop is modeled using Gamma–Gamma statistics to account for pointing errors and atmospheric turbulence, while the UWOC channel follows an Exponential Generalized Gamma (EGG) fading distribution to capture underwater impairments. To validate the analytical results, extensive numerical simulations are conducted, highlighting the impact of key parameters – such as path loss, scintillation, angle-of-arrival variations, water salinity, and pointing instability – on the performance of the considered system.

Exploratory Data Analysis in Engineering Admission Prediction for Indian Universities Meenakshi Gupta, Alpana Proceedings of the 18th Indiacom 2024 11th International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development Indiacom 2024, 2024 The main aim of every student and parent belonging to the current generation is to gain best education to have bright future and best career opportunities. Undoubtedly there are multiple career opportunities these days which are boosting up among students because of high-pay packages and good careers. Engineering is one of the career opportunities that is attracting too many youngsters but getting admission to the country’s best colleges is very tough. To pass various admission tests, students often devise the most difficult technique such as enrolment in coaching centres. The purpose of this study is to identify the importance and contribution of multiple factors such as 10th and 12th percentage of marks, school board, coaching centers, preparation strategy, online content, family background, effect of social media, drop cases, etc. By identifying the major and important factors, students will be highly benefited at an early stage of their preparation and therefore can improve their overall chances of admission. Students will be able to design their strategy for cracking the entrance examinations easily and shall be able to improve their overall chances of getting high ranks in various entrance examinations with the aid of this research. The suggested approach uses a data analytics approach to visualize the data and displays an exploratory data analysis of the admission-affecting elements. Box charts, bar charts, scatter charts, and heat maps are different ways to represent the relationship between components. Hence, this study attempts to assist the ways to students in raising their chances of admission to the desired college as well as their academic performances.
Development of a Bluetooth-Assisted Voice Control Car Harshil Aron, Meenakshi Gupta Proceedings of the 2024 3rd Edition of IEEE Delhi Section Flagship Conference Delcon 2024, 2024 This research paper is about the development, implementation, as well as the idea of using the car as a Bluetooth and voice-controlled system which lets the user be a part of a participatory environment for learning, experimenting, and playing. Integrating both Bluetooth hailing and voice command features, it is able to be regulated wirelessly in the Bluetooth-enabled devices by voice commands. The manuscript outlines the hardware components that were utilized in the execution of the project work. These consist of the necessary Arduino microcontroller, the He-05 Bluetooth module, and the L298N motor driver. The document also elaborates the software development aspect that includes programming logic for Bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition. The Experiments demonstrate the systems responsiveness, accuracy and reliability and potential for application in education, robotics research, and recreational activities. The document discusses Future directions of research addressing improving both Bluetooth and voice.
