Impact of Branding on Consumer Purchasing Decisions Suparna Ghosal, Harold Andrew Patrick, M. P. Nepoleon Applied Research for Growth Innovation and Sustainable Impact, 2025 A brand is a guarantee, a level of excellence the first time and every time, but not the other way around. A brand is a name or emblem that plays a role in the customer’s mind. Brands fight for the customer’s mental space rather than for product space. A brand becomes indelible in the mind of the client when the buyer identifies with that particular brand. Branding is an excellent marketing strategy instrument that has previously been employed with great success. For many sorts of corporate organizations, branding may be an effective and strong strategy. The benefits to brand owners who utilize their products effectively might be enormous. This study is intended to examine the influence of branding on customers’ purchasing decisions. What cost consumers are willing to spend on premium branded products, and how significant are individuals considered while making purchases, such as price, brand, or other variables? A thorough review of the literature on branding, brand recognition, a brand’s perceptions, value consciousness, brand recognition, and readiness to invest was the purpose of the report. A survey was done, and a sample size of people 110 was chosen to complete the questionnaire. The respondents were measured on a suitable scale and analyzed using a standardized questionnaire. initial data was gathered over a form, while secondary information was analyzed using the frequency technique, which included tables and graphs that included pie charts and bar diagrams.
ENHANCING ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY AND DIGITAL LITERACY THROUGH METAVERSE-BASED LEARNING: A MIXED-METHODS STUDY IN HIGHER EDUCATION Nepoleon Prabakaran, Harold A Patrick, Jacqueline Kareem Journal of Information Technology Education Research, 2025 Aim/Purpose: This paper investigates three key aspects of metaverse-based platforms in English language teaching: (1) their effectiveness in enhancing language learning outcomes, (2) their impact on digital literacy development in higher education, and (3) their accessibility and inclusivity implications for diverse student populations. Background: Despite growing interest in digital language learning, research gaps exist in understanding the long-term effectiveness of immersive technologies, particularly in resource-constrained settings. The metaverse – an integrated platform combining augmented reality (AR) for real-world digital overlays and virtual reality (VR) for immersive experiences – remains little studied in language education. While existing research examines AR or VR separately, this study investigates their combined impact through metaverse technology, addressing the unexplored intersection of language proficiency, digital literacy, and learning sustainability in higher education. Methodology: A mixed-methods study was conducted with 60 undergraduate students divided equally between experimental (metaverse-based) and control (traditional online) groups for an 8-week English course. The experimental group used an integrated metaverse platform combining AR and VR technologies for one hour daily. Quantitative assessment included pre-test, post-test, and six-month retention measurements of language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking; 10-point scale each) and digital literacy (36-item standardized scale). Semi-structured interviews with 15 participants from resource-limited environments explored accessibility and inclusivity challenges. Contribution: This research contributes to understanding technology-enhanced language learning in immersive environments, challenging assumptions about digital literacy’s impact on academic performance and providing insights into the long-term effects of metaverse-based learning on language skills. Findings: The results revealed significant improvements in reading, writing, and speaking skills among the experimental group, with reading and writing gains maintained over six months. While participants showed substantial improvement in digital literacy, no significant relationship was found between digital literacy and academic performance. Qualitative analysis uncovered two key themes: inclusive social interaction opportunities and technical barriers in the learning process. Recommendations for Practitioners: To maximize the effectiveness of metaverse-based language learning, three key recommendations emerge: institutions should prioritize robust technological infrastructure alongside comprehensive training for both educators and students, educational platforms should be developed with greater inclusivity and customization options, and regular practice sessions or hybrid learning models should be implemented to maintain speaking skills over time. Recommendation for Researchers: Future research directions should focus on three critical areas: conducting longer-term studies to better understand how metaverse-based learning affects academic performance and language proficiency, exploring the complex relationship between digital literacy and academic achievement through alternative success measures, and investigating how adaptive learning systems within metaverse environments can effectively address diverse learner needs. Impact on Society: The findings suggest that metaverse technology has the potential to revolutionize language education, making it more engaging and effective. However, they also highlight the need to address technical challenges and ensure inclusivity to prevent new forms of educational inequality. Future Research: Future investigation should address three key areas: examining how digital skills gained in metaverse environments transfer to real-world contexts and other academic disciplines, developing standardized assessment tools for evaluating language proficiency and digital literacy in immersive virtual settings, and studying the long-term impact of metaverse-based learning across different age groups and educational levels.
Is Metaverse Intended for Purchasing? An Empirical Investigation Nepoleon Prabakaran, Harold Andrew Patrick Journal of Metaverse, 2024 The metaverse, a digitally accessed immersive virtual environment, has the capacity to transform online retail by providing consumers with distinctive product experiences. This study examines how consumers behave when using metaverse platforms for purchasing. It specifically looks at how trust and perceived enjoyment play a part in influencing their desire to make a purchase. A quantitative methodology was utilized, with a total of 483 undergraduate students taking part in an experiment that entailed engaging with a metaverse retail platform called Decentraland, as well as completing a questionnaire that they administered to themselves. The results of the structural equation modelling analysis showed that the consumer's attitude towards the metaverse platform had a substantial positive effect on trust (β = 0.53) and perceived enjoyment (β = 0.39). These factors, in turn, had a favorable impact on purchase intention (β = 0.42 and β = 0.62, respectively). Furthermore, it was discovered that trust (with an indirect effect of 0.223) and perceived enjoyment (with an indirect effect of 0.241) play a major role in mediating the connection between customer attitude and purchase intention. The results enhance our comprehension of consumer behavior within the metaverse framework, highlighting the significance of cultivating trust and enjoyment to stimulate positive purchase intentions. The paper examines the consequences of the study for both theoretical and managerial perspectives. It emphasizes the importance for creators of metaverse platforms and brands to prioritize methods that build trust and boost the perceived satisfaction of users through immersive, interactive, and engaging virtual experiences. Proposed future study directions aim to overcome restrictions and broaden the scope of investigation as the metaverse continues to develop.
INFLUENCE OF CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE ON WORK ADJUSTMENT: A REGRESSION-BASED STUDY Nepoleon Prabakaran Journal of Mechanics of Continua and Mathematical Sciences, 2024 Globalization has led to an increase in cultural diversity in the software business, meaning that workers need to be culturally intelligent (CQ) to communicate with coworkers from various backgrounds and successfully navigate various organizational cultures. However, there is a lack of research on the influence of CQ on work adjustment among Indian software professionals working in culturally different states. Additionally, the relationship between CQ, job characteristics, and work adjustment remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the impact of CQ on job satisfaction and performance and identify areas for improvement in creating equitable and multicultural work environments. The findings will contribute to enhancing employees' cultural intelligence and promoting better work adjustment in the context of increasing cultural diversity and globalization. The purpose of this study was to examine the extent to which cultural intelligence can enhance work adjustment by exploring its impact on employees' job satisfaction and job performance. The study's ultimate sample size of 485 respondents was obtained using standardized instruments in a quantitative and cross-sectional methodology. Google Forms software was utilized to distribute the questionnaires online. The findings of this study provide valuable insights into effective strategies for enhancing employees' cultural intelligence and promoting better work adjustment in the context of globalization and increasing cultural diversity in the workplace.
