The article considers the systems of opening the contiguous reserves of upland deposits and develops their classification. Proposed classification takes into account the development of both portside and sub-quarry reserves in an open-underground way using the quarry space. Opening workings of sub-quarry reserves are carried out outside the boundaries of the quarry.

The article discusses the increase in ore loss in mining systems with natural maintenance pillars of the developed space, which cannot be extracted in conditions of high concentration of stress after development of reserves. The main directions of increasing the efficiency of traditional systems for the development of vein deposits are shown.

The article shows the importance of obtaining new composition of heavy drilling fluids based on composite chemical reagents from local raw materials and industrial wastes for drilling oil and gas wells. In the process of building oil and gas wells to maintain the stability of the walls, to prevent the flow of salts, and to prevent the penetration of formation fluids into the well, it becomes necessary to increase the density of the drilling fluid, which can be accomplished by introducing components with increased density. For obtaining and stabilization heavy drilling fluid were investigated and recommended new compositions of powder water soluble gossypol resin and carboxymetylcellylose sodium and other minerals. Stabilization indexes and their determination in the drilling process of oil and gas wells have been investigated. The result of research have been implemented in the drilling process of oil and gas wells with abnormally high reservoir pressure.

Abstract The research is based on the results of scientific research on the development of technology for the production of high-energy and environmentally friendly coal briquettes. The study of crushing of different sizes of coal, as well as the study of separation processes on the geometric size of the fine fraction of coal revealed high efficiency of hammer grinders and multi-layer screening devices for sorting, based on the consistency of briquette constituents, a technological system for the production of briquettes based on the use of a solution of biohumus and rice starch as effective biobinders, providing effective interaction of coal particles. The strength of briquettes obtained by increasing the amount of starch solution in coal compounds by 2%, 4%, 6% is 1.3-1.5 times, and when the pressing pressure is increased from 5 MPa to 40 MPa, the average strength of briquettes is from 2.8 MPa to 6.4 MPa. increase was detected.

Project failures occur despite the industry's best systems engineering efforts. Detailed information on project failures is difficult to find, which makes it difficult to study or understand their causes and hence to identify ways to prevent future failures. In contrast, many accidents have extensive investigations with public reports. To determine whether lessons from accidents can also be used to prevent other types of failures, we compared the causes of accidents and project failures. Our sample consisted of 30 accidents and 32 non-accidents, ranging across various industries. We extracted causes from the reports on accidents and project failures, and analyzed these causes by framing them in a common "actor-action-object" structure. We discarded the details particular to each failure (e.g., the particular component that was affected) to allow us to focus on the underlying problem (e.g., components were not properly maintained). Next, we extracted the particular actions involved in each cause (e.g., failed to maintain). Ten, or just under half of the 22 problematic actions we identified were equally likely to appear in accidents or project failures (95% confidence interval). Of the remaining twelve actions, the majority can be reasonably attributed at least in part to differences in investigation style between accidents and non-accidents. Some differences occur because of when accidents and non-accidents tend to happen. Poor maintenance was rarely an issue in non-accidents, because most project failures occur long before maintenance becomes a concern. Finally, actions involving regulations, procedures, or training were cited more often in accidents, reflecting the greater number and extent of regulations, procedures, or training related to safety.
