In the digital era, an organization’s ability to manage and utilize big data is a determining factor in developing employees’ digital skills. By utilizing big data, organizations can implement an adaptive, data-driven, and personalized learning approach according to individual and organizational needs. This chapter focuses on the concept of big data governance in the context of organizational learning and how this approach can help organizations identify skills gaps, optimize training, and improve the sustainability of digital talent development. This chapter is expected to provide insights for stakeholders in designing effective and sustainable training strategies.
Enhancing civil servant career development: A talent management approach in Indonesia Agus Sudrajat, Novi Savarianti Fahrani, Alih Aji Nugroho, Witra Apdhi Yohanitas, Ilima Fitri Azmi Journal of Infrastructure Policy and Development, 2024 This paper aims to explore how developing countries like Indonesia have an approach to managing talent to enhance career development using an application system. The application of talent management in the career development of civil servants in Indonesia includes planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating career development. Talent management is essential for the government sector and can help improve employee quality, organizational performance, and the achievement of human potential. This research aims to examine the application of talent management in organizations and develop a state civil apparatus information system (SI-ASN) to support the career development process of civil servants. The research methods used include library research and field research, including interviews with competent officials in West Java Province as primary data. The qualitative data was collected in 2022–2023. The results of this study show that the application of talent management for civil servants in Indonesia is considered appropriate, as it directs employees to positions that are in line with their qualifications, competencies and performance. However, it requires an improvement in the methods used, particularly for competency tests, which may be conducted with new methods that are more efficient in terms of budget and time. The study concluded that the application of talent management in the career development of civil servants in Indonesia has a positive impact on the quality of leaders and organizations because it ensures that the appointed leaders are the most competent ones in the field and shows the importance of talent management in succession planning and the career development of civil servants.
The Development of Innovation Knowledge Management System in Tangerang Regency Witra Apdhi Yohanitas, Arif Ramadhan, Muhammad Akbar Pribadi, Novi Savarianti Fahrani, Robby Firman Syah, Selfy Andreani, Sudardi ,, Alih Aji Nugroho, Ilima Fitri Azmi, Annisa Nurjannah, Rahmat Nuryono, Hadi Supratikta, Tomo Hadi Saputro, Hotnier Sipahutar, Suripto ,, Marsono , and Lex Localis, 2023 The problem of regional innovation is the absence of data inventory, processes, lesson learning, well-integrated regional innovation management, and supporting infrastructure for activities, namely the Knowledge Management System container. Knowledge Management System is a tool, technique, and strategy used to maintain, analyze, organize, develop, and share business expertise. The purpose of this study is the availability of lesson learned knowledge management system governance in government agencies as a comparison, an integrated KMS model can support the sustainability of regional innovation in Tangerang Regency, and an integrated and sustainable KMS prototype of regional innovation. Research methods are carried out qualitatively with literature studies, comparative studies of research objects, and applied model tests in Tangerang Regency. Data collection techniques use literature review, observation, expert judgment, and in-depth interviews to test the KMS model for Regional Innovation. The expected result is the availability of an innovation knowledge management system model for local governments which can then be developed into a knowledge management system for regional innovation.
