Dr. Oladayo Ramon IBRAHIM was born on the 23rd of November, 1960 in Ojoku, Oyun LGA, Kwara State. He attended Wesley L.E.A, Ojoku (1966 -1972), and Offa Grammar School, Offa Kwara for his secondary education where he obtained his WAEC in 1977. He proceeded to Kwara State Polytechnic for his Higher School Certificate (HSC) in 1979, He then proceeded to his Bachelor's Degree Programme at University of Ile-Ife (OAU) Ile-Ife, Osun State. He also obtained his M.sc (Geography & Planning in 1990, M.sc (Urban & Regional Planning in 2009), Ph.D. (Urban & Regional Planning at the University of Lagos (2022).
He was a Chief Lecturer on December 1st 2020. In 2022 he was absorbed into Lagos State University of Science and Technology and redesignated as a Senior Lecturer. He is a member of several learned association among which are:
• Fellow Regional Studies Association (RSA), 2012.
• Associate member of the Association of American Geographers (AAG), 2012.
• Nigeria Institute of Town Planners (
