Braking Performance of the One Side Wheels for the Realization of the Crab Motion for the Front-Wheel Vehicle Mikhail Podrigalo, Dmytro Klets, Oleksandr Boboshko, Volodymyr Rudzinskyi, Ruslan Kaidalov, Andrey Nikorchuk, Maxim Adamchuk, Ihor Luhovskyi, Oleksandr Bilenko, Oleksandr Kriukov, Yuri Besedin SAE Technical Papers, 2019 <div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">A method of vehicle straight angle motion relative its axial axis by turning the front wheels and simultaneous braking of the external side wheels is offered. The equation describing the condition of four-wheel drive vehicle crab motion is obtained. The purpose of the research is to determine the law of control of torque on the wheels of the car, the realization of which makes crab motion possible. For realization of the aim, the following challenges were solved: <ul class="list disc"><li class="list-item"><div class="htmlview paragraph">the torque difference on the driving wheels (the braking torque on the outside wheel) that provides “crab motion" is determined;</div></li><li class="list-item"><div class="htmlview paragraph">an analysis of the operational factors influences and design parameters of the vehicle, on the magnitude of the required torque difference, was conducted.</div></li></ul></div><div class="htmlview paragraph">The angle of rotation of the track wheels determines the direction of vehicle movement, and the torque difference on the driving wheels creates a moment stabilizing the position of the vehicle and ensures the straightness of the trajectory of motion.</div><div class="htmlview paragraph">The linear velocity at which “crab motion" is possible without creating a torque difference on the driving wheels is determined.</div><div class="htmlview paragraph">In this research analytical correlations describing the process of the vehicle's “crab motion" at the torque difference created by the brake moment on the external (in relation to the conditional center of rotation) wheel are shown.</div><div class="htmlview paragraph">The charts of the speed dependence of the vehicle, the difference in torque on the driving wheels at different significances of linear accelerations are created. The graphs of the linear acceleration dependence on the linear speed at different design parameters of the vehicle are also presented.</div><div class="htmlview paragraph">The obtained results allow further development of the algorithm of control and design of the system which provides the vehicle's “crab motion ".</div></div>
Formation analysis of multi-frequency signals of laser information measuring system Sergey Herasimov, Oleksandr Tymochko, Oleksii Kolomiitsev, Gennadiy Aloshin, Oleksandr Kriukov, Oleksandr Morozov, Volodymyr Aleksiyev Eureka Physics and Engineering, 2019 Improving the accuracy of measuring motion parameters and the volume of information exchange with aircraft requires the modern development of multifunctional radio systems that allow the combination of information and measuring channels due to frequency (time) signal selection. However, radio systems have limitations on the number and accuracy of the measurement of aircraft motion parameters, as well as information transfer rates. These restrictions will make it possible to remove laser systems for measuring with high accuracy the parameters of motion of aircraft. Similar laser systems are widely used in transmitting information to stationary or quasi-stationary objects. As a result, there was a need to overcome the contradiction between the requirements for the technical characteristics of radio systems and the capabilities of the existing scientific and methodological apparatus for synthesizing the signals of laser information-measuring systems for monitoring the parameters of aircraft motion. The theoretical foundations of the formation and selection of laser signals for combining the information and measuring channels of laser information-measuring systems are proposed and investigated. A comparison is made with known methods of combining (combining) the information and measuring channels of radio engineering systems and the features of using a spectrum of laser radiation formed by pairs of longitudinal modes that “color” each channel signal for their selection at reception. When receiving optical pairs of longitudinal modes, the intermode beat frequencies turn into radio engineering subcarriers that are well filtered and selectable. Based on the results of mathematical modeling and combinations of longitudinal modes, the choice of elements of a modified selector of longitudinal modes of laser information-measuring systems is substantiated. This determines the importance and usefulness of work for applied systems for measuring the parameters of movement of aircraft.
Modeling of the process of the shot based on the numerical solution of the equations of internal ballistics Oleksandr Kriukov, Roman Melnikov, Оlexandr Bilenko, Artem Zozulia, Sergey Herasimov, Maksym Borysenko, Vladislav Pavlii, Serhii Khmelevskiy, Dmytro Abramov, Vadym Sivak Eastern European Journal of Enterprise Technologies, 2019 The study of the process of firing a firearm, taking into account the degree of wear of the barrel, requires an assessment of the losses of powder gases due to their breakthrough between the barrel walls and the projectile. Currently, the known methods for solving the equations of internal ballistics do not provide for obtaining results wich take into account the loss of part of the powder gases. As a result, there was a need to overcome the contradiction between the needs of applied ballistics and the capabilities of the existing scientific and methodological apparatus for solving the equations of internal ballistics.The principles of construction of the difference scheme for the numerical solution of the equations of internal ballistics on the condition of the influence of typical defects of the barrel channels and ammunition are stated. Recurrent expressions for step-by-step calculation of ballistic elements of the shot are given, initial conditions for the first and second periods of the shot are defined. The practical testing of the difference scheme by the numerical solution of the equations of internal ballistics for characteristic combinations of initial data is carried out and its adequacy is confirmed. The expediency of creating a database of ballistic shot elements for typical defects of the barrel channels and powder charges is substantiated.As a result of researches, the difference scheme for the numerical solution of the equations of internal ballistics wich provide the possibility of taking into account the influence of typical defects of the barrel channels and ammunition on ballistic elements of the shot is obtained. This opens the way to improving the operational control of the technical condition of weapons and ammunition by advancing its reliability and efficiency.Based on the numerical solution of the equations of internal ballistics, it is possible to simulate the influence of the deviation of the geometrical parameters of the barrel channel and the degradation of the powder charge on the course of the shot process. This explains the importance and usefulness of the work for applied ballistics
