Memorizing the Qur’an for Busy People: A Study of the Contribution of T.E.S. (Tilâwah Evaluasi Sederhana) Method in Enhancing Memorization of the Qur’an Cucu Surahman, Mokh. Iman Firmansyah, Muhamad Parhan, Ahmad Hakam Karsa, 2025 Facts show memorizing the Qur’an is difficult, especially considering contemporary man’s busyness. The memorizers of the Qur’an admit that they have difficulty finding time to repeat (murâja’ah) the memorizations they have consistently. This study tries to reveal the contribution of the T.E.S. method, a method of memorizing the Qur’an discovered by Ustadz Jemmi Gumilar ST., in improving the memorization of the Qur’an. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive method, this study shows that the T.E.S. method has positively contributed to improving the quality and quantity of memorization of the Qur’an of the tahfîzh participants. Many beneficiaries and recognition of the training participants for the effectiveness of the T.E.S. method prove this. Theoretically, the success of the T.E.S. method lies in time management and discipline or consistency in reading the Qur’an, memorizing, and repeating memorization.
The Role of Islamic Law in Addressing Global Warming: Perspectives from Indonesia and Global Contexts Mohammad Rindu Fajar Islamy, Suprima Suprima, Wawan Hermawan, Nurti Budiyanti, Muhamad Parhan, et al. Mazahib Jurnal Pemikiran Hukum Islam, 2025 This study examines the role of Islamic law in addressing global warming, focusing on case studies from Indonesia and Western contexts. As emphasized by Indian scholar Mukherjee A, climate change has emerged as an escalating global threat driven primarily by human actions such as excessive fossil fuel consumption, deforestation for industrialization and urbanization, and rapid population growth. These activities accelerate global warming and permanently disrupt ecosystems, leading to significant human suffering. Within Islamic jurisprudence, the principle of Fiqh al-Bī’ah (Islamic environmental jurisprudence) provides both a moral and legal foundation for maintaining ecological balance. Classical Muslim scholars emphasize stewardship (khilāfah) and accountability (mas’ūliyyah) as ethical imperatives guiding human responsibility toward nature. In the contemporary context, Islamic law extends these principles through maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, particularly the preservation of life (ḥifẓ al-nafs) and nature (ḥifẓ al-bi’ah), which demand sustainable and responsible engagement with the environment. This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) alongside an analysis of classical Islamic works, examining 578 scholarly papers to ensure comprehensive coverage. The Miles and Huberman framework, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, was applied to guide the data analysis. The findings reveal that Islamic law offers both normative and practical mechanisms for mitigating climate change: (1) strengthening Fiqh al-Bī’ah as a legal-ethical response, (2) promoting ecological citizenship within Society 5.0, (3) enforcing robust environmental regulations and local capacity building, and (4) integrating technological innovation with sustainable practices. The study concludes that Islamic law provides a holistic ethical and legal foundation for environmental stewardship, harmonizing traditional jurisprudence with modern sustainability initiatives to address global warming both globally and locally.
DEVELOPING A CONTEXTUAL LEARNING MODEL IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION TO IMPROVE APPLICABLE KNOWLEDGE AND FOSTER KNOWLEDGE-BASED VIRTUES Muhamad Parhan, Syahidin Syahidin, Momod Abdul Somad, Mulyana Abdulah, Risris Hari Nugraha Jurnal Pendidikan Islam, 2024 This study addresses the prevalent reliance on theoretical-abstract learning in Islamic religious education, which often emphasizes theories, symbols, textual materials, and memorized facts. Recognizing the need for a more practical approach, our research aims to develop a contextual learning design specifically focused on prayer in Islamic religious education. The goal is to enhance both knowledge acquisition and the cultivation of charitable virtues. Utilizing a combined quantitative and qualitative research approach, we employed research and development (R&D) methods. Data collection involved participatory observation, documentation studies, and questionnaires. The findings reveal that the contextual learning model significantly improves students' theoretical understanding and practical application of prayer. Results show enhanced academic achievements and the integration of prayer values into students' daily lives. The contextual learning model presents a more realistic, concrete, engaging, and meaningful approach to prayer instruction, fostering active student participation and the application of learned material in real-life scenarios. This study underscores the potential of contextual learning in transforming Islamic religious education, making it more effective and relevant for students.
Comparison of Time in the World and the Afterday in the Quantum Revolution to the Rules of Islamic Science Suprima, Muhamad Parhan, Riska Siti Nurjanah, Muhammad Azzara, Ahmad Ihsan Nur Solehudin, et al. Millah Journal of Religious Studies, 2023 Time and space are quantities determined by mass and speed. Atom is the smallest material that can not be divided again. The quantum revolution begins with the existence of a wave that has dualistic properties, then discusses micro-objects and their constituents. This has something to do with the comparison of time and the afterlife which is explained through science and the source of truth, namely the Qur'an. The method used is the library research method which focuses on analysis by connecting with the Al-Qur'an. The results of the analysis found that the comparison of the time of the world and the hereafter is explained in the Al-Qur'an in Al-Hajj verse 47 and Al-Baqarah verse 80, it is explained that the world time is faster than the time of the Hereafter which is associated with quantum physics is the assumption that this world is like an atom and the next world is a large dimension, so the time in the two will be very clearly different. The afterlife will slow down because the calculation of world time will be much faster because the world is small like an atom. Atom itself is explained in the letter Al-Zalzalah verses 7-8, the letter Yunus verse 61, and the letter An-Nisa verse 40.

Character education in Indonesia: How is it internalized and implemented in virtual learning? Mupid Hidayat, Rama Wijaya Abdul Rozak Cakrawala Pendidikan, 2022 Character education is an essential component in directing students to become complete human beings, namely human beings who are cognitively smart, emotionally intelligent, and able to actualize the values of goodness in social life. As currently learning is done virtually, character education is facing obstacles. This research uses mixed methods with sequential mixed methods strategy and sequential explanatory techniques. The research data were obtained through questionnaires filled out by elementary, middle, and high school teachers who participated in the e-workshop on developing the internalization of character values. 576 teachers filled out the research questionnaire. The collected data were then tabulated and analyzed to get a profile picture of the internalization and implementation of character education carried out by the teachers. The results showed that off the three ways used by to implement character education; habituation, integration, and emulation, only one of them is applied by teachers in schools. In addition, teachers experience difficulties in internalizing and implementing character values when learning is done virtually. This is due to the absence of physical meetings between teachers and students. In fact, it is understood that the internalization process plays an important role in the implementation of character values.

Pemali as defense ecovillage values in kampung kasepuhan babakan lama R W A Rozak, M D Kembara, M Parhan, N Budiyanti, V A Hadian, et al. Iop Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science, 2022 The exploitation of the environment occurs because there is an economic value that is generated for the benefit of humans. A damaged environment can cause a lot of harm to humans in the future. The research objective was to analyze and synthesize the concept of pemali in Kampung Kasepuhan Babakan Lama with the ecovillage values that were maintained in the village. Then analyze the environmental conservation model scheme applied in Kampung Kasepuhan Babakan Lama. A descriptive qualitative approach is used in research using interview instruments. The interview resulted in the findings that environmental conservation efforts carried out in Kampung Kasepuhan Babakan Lama are in accordance with ecovillage values. Environmental preservation is closely monitored by every community who lives in the village and implanted the concept of using the environment wisely through the concept of pemali. Pemali is applied in the socio-cultural, environmental, economic, architectural, and spiritual aspects. This is identical to ecovillage values. Thus, society and nature can coexist in harmony. This is what is starting to disappear in the current paradigm of environmental use, namely that only humans benefit without paying attention to environmental sustainability.
