Dr. Paula Cintrón is a faculty member and researcher in the fields of materials science, energy, and sustainability. She has experience in academic training, scientific research, and science communication, with a particular interest in the development of materials for energy storage, hydrogen technologies, and solutions aimed at the energy transition. She has participated in science outreach activities and in numerous national (13) and international (8) conferences. In addition, she has authored six articles in indexed journals, two book chapters, and seven science communication publications in Spanish, and has taught courses related to her areas of expertise. Her research interests focus on the study of advanced materials for energy applications, including doped bifunctional electrocatalysts, supercapacitors, and medium- and high-entropy is also part of the Mentoras en Acción: Women and Girls in STEM program, promoted by the British Council.
EDUCATION
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Lázaro Cárdenas, a Master’s degree in Sustainability of Natural Resources and Energy, and a Ph.D. in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology from CINVESTAV. She also completed a research academic stay in Toyohashi, Japan.
