  • Sentiment Analysis of TikTok User Comments on QRIS Adoption in Indonesia Using IndoBERT
    Edi Supriyadi, Putra Nurhuda Makatita
    Procedia Computer Science, 2025
This study investigates public sentiment toward the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) adoption by analyzing TikTok user comments using an IndoBERT-based classifier. Leveraging a real-world dataset of 1,128 comments scraped from a representative QRIS-related TikTok video, we applied minimal preprocessing before classifying sentiments into positive, neutral, and negative categories. Model validation on a manually annotated subset of 12 sentences yielded strong precision, recall, and F1 performance for positive and negative classes. Stability and robustness tests confirmed the classifier’s consistency across variations common in Indonesian social media discourse. Our large-scale analysis reveals that 50.9 percent of comments expressed positive attitudes toward QRIS, 17.9 percent were neutral, and 31.2 percent were negative. A qualitative review identified drivers of positive sentiment, such as convenience and international acceptance, as well as barriers reflected in negative comments like transaction failures and security concerns. These insights highlight the vital role of sentiment analysis in guiding policy and user education to improve QRIS uptake. By demonstrating IndoBERT’s effectiveness in a social media context, this work advances natural language processing for Indonesian and offers actionable guidance for stakeholders seeking to accelerate digital payment adoption nationwide.
  • Integrating DeepSeek API in Designing Krisna.ai as Artificial Intelligence Chat Assistant
Edi Supriyadi, Ahsani Takwim, Dedi Rosadi, Raden M Adrian, Hanny Rahayu, Bambang Susanto
Proceeding of 2025 19th International Conference on Telecommunication Systems Services and Applications Tssa 2025, 2025
Krisna.ai is a web-based tool embedded in Sketchbook. This study describes the design, development, and evaluation of Krisna.ai. The system contains two main modules an Automatic Dialogue Function, based on a decision-tree approach to provide context-sensitive teaching replies, and an Automatic Questionnaire Function that allows structured reflection and formative assessment. Krisna.ai uses the DeepSeek API to enable interactive discussions between students and academics. It doesn’t compromise privacy since the AI is different from the one used by the faculty. Two experiments were done with 26 college students. The first evaluation studied the fluency, clarity and pedagogical worth of solution proposed by AI to open-ended academic questions. The second study evaluated engagement, understanding, and user choice between a chatbot-supported learning help and a static, manual question. Krisna.ai understands learner intention accurately, enhances user engagement, and allows learners to study in a systematic manner. Krisna.ai can help with the AI-empowered adaptive learning platform for education.
  • Research trends about Visual Basic as a programming language in the learning process: a bibliometric analysis
Adi Nurjaman, Dadang Juandi, Edi Supriyadi, Wahyu Hidayat, Darhim Darhim
International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2024
This study employs bibliometric analysis to systematically explore the Visual Basic (VB) education research landscape, identifying significant trends, influential authors, and future research directions. Utilizing data from Scopus-indexed journals, we examined 529 papers published between 1994 and October 2023, identified through the keywords "visual basic," "visualbasic," "teaching," and "learning." These papers were analyzed using Biblioshiny to generate a bibliometric map, following four steps: data harvesting, data screening, data visualization, and data analysis. Our research reveals critical VB programming trends from 1994 to 2023, with academic output peaking in 2010 and declining since 2007. Ongoing interest is noted due to legacy system applications. Global publication reach facilitates cross-border information exchange, and top affiliations and authors underscore extensive and influential participation in this field. The research emphasizes incorporating fundamental and advanced themes in educational curricula. It suggests future research focusing on new programming paradigms, longitudinal studies, and VB relevance to technological advancements and industrial needs. Enhanced collaboration, interdisciplinary research, and attention to global trends are essential for maintaining the relevance of VB programming education, optimizing legacy systems, improving educational practices, and preparing students for modern programming environments.

    Infinity Journal, 2024
This scoping review aims to consolidate the research that has been conducted on fractional learning challenges, with a particular emphasis on the various student groups, intervention strategies, outcomes, and specific learning problems. The research finds essential research topics and relevant papers and extracts data in order to gain an understanding of the intricate nature of fraction learning. The technique utilized in this study is a five-stage process. The preliminary literature searches produced a total of twenty-three articles, seven of which were chosen for a more in-depth examination. These publications covered a variety of themes, including the effectiveness of manipulatives, strategies for accommodating students who struggle with mathematics, focused training interventions, and instructor guidance. The findings of this research shed light on the myriad of difficulties associated with learning fractions. These difficulties range from basic conceptual and procedural comprehension to unique educational obstacles for a wide variety of student populations, including those with learning disabilities. The study focuses on a variety of intervention tactics, such as accommodations, strategic training, and the utilization of manipulatives, with the objective of enhancing problem-solving abilities, conceptual comprehension, and procedural proficiency in fractions. This all-encompassing examination highlights the ubiquity of misconceptions and the necessity of explicit training. It also highlights the usefulness of direct instruction, strategic education, and problem-solving exercises in improving students' comprehension of fractions. In order to overcome problems in learning fractions and to improve mathematical education, the findings advocate for the continuation of research and the incorporation of effective pedagogical approaches.

  • DEVELOPMENT OF SUNDANESE GAMELAN ETHNOMATHEMATICS E-MODULE FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL MATHEMATICS LEARNING
Edi Supriyadi, T. Turmudi, Jarnawi Afgani Dahlan, Dadang Juandi
Malaysian Journal of Learning and Instruction, 2024
Purpose – This study aimed to conduct a needs analysis for developing the ethnomathematics e-module based on Sundanese Gamelan to facilitate mathematics learning in junior high school. Specifically, this study identified crucial components for module development and to gather feedback from both students and teachers regarding the learning material. Methodology – The Research and Development (R&D) method was used, specifically the Plomp model, to create e-module for mathematics learning. Qualitative data were collected from ethnomathematics experts, a mathematics teacher, and five students via purposive sampling. The instruments used for this data collection included expert validation sheets, student interview recordings, teacher questionnaires, and small group observations. Findings – The results indicated that the integration of Sundanese Gamelan ethnomathematics into junior high school mathematics e-module significantly improved students’ understanding and interest in the subject. This culturally infused approach increased students’ motivation and engagement, indicating a potential shift towards more inclusive and culturally responsive educational practices. Significance – The integration of Sundanese Gamelan ethnomathematics into mathematics curriculum is known for the unique blend of cultural elements with academic content, contributing to enhanced students’ understanding and cultural awareness. In addition, this method offered benefits for students, teachers, curriculum developers, and ethnomathematics researchers, presenting a holistic model that combined educational innovation with cultural appreciation.
