  • Viscous oscillatory heterogeneous fluid flow through parallel plates with heat transfer
    L. Prasanna Venkatesh
    Aip Conference Proceedings, 2024
The current research focuses on the heterogeneity of fluid when it is allowed to flow over two parallel porous plates, as well as considering the flow to be viscous oscillatory in the presence of an angled magnetic field, as well as a radiative heat flux and heat source. The fluid is hypothesized to have an extremely low electrical conductivity, and the electromagnetic forces are measured in nanometers. Analytical solutions are provided for the consequences of various elements influencing the problem on velocity and temperature profiles, local skin friction coefficient, and local Nusselt number.
  • Insights on Surya namaskar from its origin to application towards health
    L. Prasanna Venkatesh, S. Vandhana
Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, 2022
Suryanamaskar is considered a part of modern-day yogic practices though it was neither considered an asana nor a part of traditional Yoga. Practicing Suryanamaskar before beginning routine activities vitalizes the practitioner and gives a completely energized day. Starting from the Raja of Aundh who first introduced surya namaskar, there is a line of eminent people who popularized this dynamic group of asanas including T Krishnamacharya, Swami Sivananda, Swami Satyananda from Bihar school of Yoga, so on and so forth. Their contributions resulted in this excellent series of Asanas being introduced to the practitioners. Such a miraculous group of postures also involves dynamic breathing patterns at each posture and gives a form of complete practice involving asanas and pranayama. There are a total of 12 postures in Suryanamaskar practice and 24 steps in one round. This is in the form of salutation to the "Sun" along with chanting the twelve names of the sun god. In this review, we accentuate the importance of Suryanamaskar highlighting its effects on physical, psychological and physiological aspects of the body based on published research. In addition, the usefulness of surya namaskar as one complete sadhana for the whole body is emphasized.
  • A study on exponential and linear density stratification on rectangular channel problems
    L. Prasanna Venkatesh
Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2021
In this paper we analyze viscous oscillatory MHD inhomogeneous fluid flow through the rectangular channel with one wall being porous through which suction or injection is taken place with constant rate and the other wall being rigid. The density function in the equation of incompressibility are considered in first case as exponentially distributed and that in the second case as linearly distributed. The governing equation of motion in both cases are solved using similarity transformation and the graphical representation in both cases are analyzed and compared for velocity profiles. Further for second-degree approximation, the exponential stratification reduces to the results of linear stratification results, which are already available in the literature.
  • Stratification and MHD effects on narrow channel problems
    L.Prasanna Venkatesh, J. Swetha
Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2021
In this paper we analyze viscous oscillatory MHD inhomogeneous fluid flow through the channel which is narrow and rectangular with one wall being porous through which suction or injection is taken place with constant rate and the other wall being rigid. The equation pertaining to the motion of fluid are simplified by using narrow channel approximation and the simplified equation are solved using similarity transformation and the graphical representation are analyzed for velocity profiles. The results reveal that stratification and MHD effects are found predominantly at the centre of the channel while stratification suppresses the flow in vertical direction. For B 0=0 and N=0 the results are in accordance with that already available in literature.

Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2019
In this paper, some new class of sets R*I-S(X), R*I-P(X) and R*I-α(X) which are the collection of all ‘R*I-semi –open’, ‘R*I -pre-open’ and ‘R*I-α-open set’s are introduced and we analysed how the sets are related with them and examine the relationship the other similar collection of weak open sets in ideal and general topological spaces. Also we obtained an equivalent wayof representing continuous function interms of funcions which are defined using weak open sets in R*-topological spaces.
  • Exponentially varying suction and injection on MHD viscous oscillatory stratified flow between parallel porous plates
    L. Prasanna Venkatesh, R. Manoharan
Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2019
Start your abstract hereIn this paper we consider Magenetohydrodynamic viscous oscillatory flow of incompressible linearly density stratified fluid in a long vertical rectangular channel with injection through y – axis and suction through the plate parallel to y - axis. In the undisturbed state the density distribution is assumed to be linearly distributed. Closed form solutions are obtained using similarity transformation. The effects on axial and transverse velocity profiles due to various parameters involved in the problem are illustrated in the figures. The graphical representations of the investigation show that the stratification effects are more on transverse velocity profiles than that of axial velocity. For constant density and zero electromagnetic induction the result reduces to that of viscous oscillatory flow between parallel plates

  • Effects of narrow channel approximation on viscous oscillatory density stratified fluid flow through rectangular channels
    L. Prasanna Venkatesh, B. Surya Prabha
Proceedings of 2017 International Conference on Innovations in Information Embedded and Communication Systems Iciiecs 2017, 2017
Viscous oscillatory density stratified fluid flow through rectangular channel with a porous wall is considered in this problem. The governing equations of motion are transformed into ordinary differential equations of constant coefficient by using variable separable transformation. Solutions are also obtained by considering the channel to be narrow by applying Lubrication approximation in the momentum equations. The solutions in both the cases are compared using graphical interpretations of velocity profiles, pressure and density distributions for various parameters associated with problem. The findings of the investigation reveals that the narrow channel approximation results in pressure dominated flow and stratification effects are observed in this case nearer to the boundaries. The analysis gives a considerable measure to control the flow along with the effects of various associated parameters.

    L. Prasanna Venkatesh, S. Ganesh, K. B. Naidu
Indian Journal of Science and Technology, 2015
In this paper we consider Magnetohydrodynamic viscous oscillatory fully developed flow of stratified fluid in a long vertical narrow rectangular channel with one side being pervious and the other side being impervious. By applying Lubrication approximation and similarity transformation, closed form solutions are obtained. The graphical interpretations of the effects of various parameters related to the problem on transverse and axial velocity profiles are illustrated in detail. The outcome of the investigation reveals that the stratification effects reverse the flow near the center of the channel while magnetohydrodynamic effects make the flow linear closer to the plates. The results obtained give a significant measure to control the flow with the effects of various parameters involved.
