CardioScan: On-the-Go Heart Health Monitoring Device Nipun Saxena, Dheeraj Chugh, Varun Tiwari, Priya Rao 2024 15th International Conference on Computing Communication and Networking Technologies Icccnt 2024, 2024 Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) continue to pose a large worldwide health burden, needing appropriate cardiac monitoring systems for early identification and intervention. Portable cardiac monitoring devices have emerged as promising instruments in this attempt, providing easy and accessible ways to examine heart health. CardioScan is a ground breaking innovation in this field, combining stethoscope, electrocardiography (ECG), and echocardiography capabilities into a single compact instrument. CardioScan uses non-invasive techniques and modern CMOS-based chipsets to provide accurate and dependable heart diagnostics with exceptional comfort and efficiency. In this study, they conduct a thorough analysis of CardioScan’s performance metrics across its core features. They evaluate the device’s ability to capture heart sounds record ECG waveforms, and generate echocardiographic pictures using rigorous testing and analysis. The findings reveal CardioScan’s capacity to provide high-quality cardiac data, reinforcing its promise for improving patient care, boosting diagnosis accuracy, and optimizing treatment methods for cardiovascular disorders. They also examine the practical implications of CardioScan’s performance indicators in clinical practice, emphasizing its appropriateness for a variety of contexts, including primary care and remote monitoring programs. Furthermore, they investigate future research options and CardioScan’s overall impact on improving cardiac care and supporting proactive heart health management. Overall, this work sheds light on CardioScan’s capabilities and future uses, thereby contributing to current efforts to combat CVDs and enhance cardiovascular healthcare delivery.
Empowering Mobility: Applying Advancements in Walker Design for Differently Abled Individuals Aditya Salunke, Mukesh Malviya, Raghav Pandya, Priya Rao 2024 15th International Conference on Computing Communication and Networking Technologies Icccnt 2024, 2024 Mobility devices play a pivotal role in facilitating accessibility and independence for handicapped individuals. These devices, ranging from wheelchairs to advanced exoskeletons, have evolved significantly over the years, incorporating cutting-edge technologies to address diverse needs and challenges faced by people with disabilities. This paper provides an overview of various mobility devices such as foldable wheelchairs. Additionally, it explores the impact of these devices on the lives of handicapped individuals, focusing on improved mobility, social integration, and enhanced quality of life. The abstract presents a futuristic concept for a wheelchair designed to enhance mobility for handicapped individuals. This innovative design incorporates two handles and four hubless wheels to provide optimal support and manoeuvrability. By utilizing hubless wheels, the wheelchair offers improved stability and functionality. This concept aims to revolutionize traditional wheelchair design, offering a glimpse into the future of mobility assistance technology for individuals with disabilities.
Shielding Solutions: Evaluating Active PPE's Efficacy Against Airborne Covid-19 Transmission Kaushik Hazarika, Sanjay Jain, Raghav Pandya, Priya Rao 2024 15th International Conference on Computing Communication and Networking Technologies Icccnt 2024, 2024 This study focuses on the integration of Engineered Nano Water (ENW) with smart personal protective equipment (PPE) systems to provide proactive protection against airborne dangers. The integrated system integrates aerosol detection technology, smart PPE activation mechanisms, precise ENW dispensing capabilities, and direction recognition technology to provide real-time detection and neutralization of airborne COVID-19 transmission. The results show exceptional sensitivity and accuracy in detecting airborne particles, with a detection rate surpassing 95%. The smart PPE activation mechanism responds quickly to detection, activating protective measures within milliseconds. The ENW dispenser provides accurate flow and direction control, ensuring that the protective layer is distributed optimally. Direction identification technology improves targeting accuracy, obtaining a directional precision of 98%. Also, the ENW layer effectively neutralizes identified pollutants, with a deactivation rate of over 99%. These findings highlight the system’s resilience in offering proactive protection against airborne COVID-19 transmission, which has tremendous promise for improving public health and safety measures in various contexts.
Alteration in the radiosensitivity of hela cells by dichloromethane extract of guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) Shaival K. Rao, Priya S. Rao Integrative Cancer Therapies, 2010 Exposure of HeLa cells to TCE (dichloromethane extract of Tinospora cordifolia) for 4 hours before exposure to 2-Gy γ-radiation caused a significant decrease in the cell viability (approximately 50%). The surviving fraction (SF) was reduced to 0.52 after 4 hours of TCE treatment; thereafter, clonogenecity of HeLa cells declined negligibly with treatment duration up to 6 hours posttreatment. Exposure of HeLa cells to different doses of γ-radiation resulted in a dose-dependent decline in the viability of HeLa cells, whereas treatment of HeLa cells with various doses of TCE further decreased the cell viability depending not only on the irradiation dose but also on the concentration of TCE. Treatment of HeLa cells with various doses of TCE caused a significant decline in cell viability after exposure to 1 to 4 Gy γ-radiation. The increase in TCE concentration before irradiation caused a concentration-dependent reduction in the SF, and a lowest SF was observed for 4 μg/mL TCE for all exposure doses. HeLa cells treated with TCE showed an increase in lactate dehydrogenase and decrease in glutathioneS-transferase activity at all postirradiation times. Lipid peroxidation increased up to 4 hours postirradiation and declined gradually up to 12 hours postirradiation.
