Fatma H. Abdel-Salam received her B.Sc. with Honors in Chemistry (1983) and her M.Sc. (1989) and Ph.D. (1994) from the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt and prof of applied Organic Chemistry since 2011 and vice dean of faculty of science for students and education from 2017. She is interested in the synthesis of surfactants, the surface and thermodynamic properties of surfactant solutions and their applications.
