    Journal of Scientometric Research, 2024
Ongoing advancements are being made in mathematics education to meet the demands of modern pedagogy and student learning. Therefore, it is imperative to understand contemporary research trends in mathematics textbooks to align with contemporary pedagogical standards and accommodate diverse student learning needs. The current bibliometric review aims to analyse the publication trends of studies about mathematics textbooks. This review employed datasets from the Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases and analysed them using ScientoPy and VOSviewer. The examination of publication trends revealed a substantial surge in academic engagement in mathematics textbooks, particularly in recent times in both databases. The surge in publications signifies an expanding scholarly focus and commitment to advancing knowledge in mathematics education, with a particular emphasis on mathematics textbooks. An examination of source titles unveiled that Journal of Physics: Conference Series articles impact the discourse within the field. Some prevalent keywords, including “mathematics textbooks”, “problem-posing”, and “statistics education”, have surfaced in contemporary research, attesting to the field’s evolving trends. The growing emphasis on “design” and “cognitive demand” indicates an expanding aspiration to foster enhanced conceptual comprehension and cognitive involvement among students. Further investigation into the impact of instructional design and cognitive demand on fostering more profound understanding and active participation in mathematics is warranted, particularly emphasising the practical ramifications for curriculum designers and educators.
  • Design and Development of an Electronic Nose as a Tool for Detecting the Aroma Quality of Pandanwangi Rice
Riza Trihaditia, Widya Sari, Zakky Hasan Latif, Rani Sugiarni, Ramlan Indra Nugraha
International Journal of Advancement in Life Sciences Research, 2024
Pandanwangi rice, a local aromatic variety originating from Cianjur Regency, owes its distinct pandan aroma to the presence of the amino acid derivative compound phenylalanine, specifically 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline. Distinguishing the aroma of Pandanwangi rice serves as a key method for its identification. Electronic Nose (e-nose) technology, renowned for its ability to differentiate aromas emitted by organic materials, serves as a pivotal tool in this research. The primary objectives of this study are to ascertain the design techniques for electronic nose devices, evaluate the electronic nose's efficacy in detecting and distinguishing the aroma of Pandanwangi rice. Descriptive analysis was employed, utilizing Pandanwangi rice samples sourced from various districts including Warungkondang, Gekbrong, Cianjur, Campaka, Cugenang, and Cibeber, alongside Sintanur rice (positive control) and IR64 (negative control). The research findings demonstrate that the devised tool has the potential to swiftly detect the aroma of Pandanwangi rice. Furthermore, the results of aroma detection using the electronic nose device reveal discernible variations in the concentration of volatile compounds present in Pandanwangi rice. Notably, Pandanwangi rice from Cibeber District exhibits the highest concentration of volatile compounds, while that from Campaka District displays the lowest. Even Sintanur rice, which is known for its similarity and often mistaken by the general public as Pandanwangi rice, did not elicit a significant response from the sensor.

  • Somatic, auditory, visualization, intellectually learning assisted by GeoGebra to improve student's mathematical representation skills
    A Septian, R F Suwarman, E Monariska, R Sugiarni
Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2020
The purpose of this research was to determine the improvement of student’s mathematical representation skills and student’s attitudes towards learning using SAVI learning assisted by GeoGebra. This research is a quasi-experimental research with the object of research of students of SMP Negeri 3 Cianjur. Students in class VIII-5 will be the experimental class and students in class VIII-7 will be the control class. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental research methods with non-randomized control group pretest - post-test design. Data processing will be executed with the normality test, Mann Whitney test, and the percentage of achievement indicators. Based on the results of data processing and interpretation, it is shown that SAVI learning assisted by GeoGebra better than ordinary learning in improving student’s mathematical representation skills. Then the attitude of students towards SAVI learning assisted by GeoGebra is generally positive.
  • Effectiveness of student worksheets on environmental project-based e-learning model in building student character
    I Sarah, S Rani
Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2020
Education world through learning in the classroom has a huge influence in building the values of student characters. Mathematics as a subject is given at all levels of education and has more time allocated each week than other subject has the opportunity to build student character value. This study aims to develop mathematics student worksheets and their effectiveness in the context of student character. This type of research is research with design and development. This research consists of three stages, namely Self Evaluation, Prototyping, and Field Test. The initial step of the research is to use various sources in the field and literature review. Product design is done by preparing student worksheets and student character observation sheets. Products that have been designed are then developed by means of judgment, trials and revisions. From the results of the development then a student worksheets hypothetical product is obtained and will be tested for its effectiveness. Effectiveness testing is carried out in the use of trial activities through the implementation of student worksheets hypothetical product. The results showed that the hypothetical student worksheets was effective in establishing honest, maos, mamaos, tanginas, someah, sauyunan, and discipline characters.
