Kelvin Mubiana Katukula is a PhD candidate in Curriculum Studies at Stellenbosch University, focusing on the teachers and their complex contributions to climate mitigation and sustainable development. He holds an MPhil in Science and Technology Studies, focusing on research management and evaluation, and an MA in Primary Education, focusing on cross-national comparative studies. He is also a Research Fellow at the Political Economy of Education Research Network (PEER Network), a collaborative venture between the Universities (Ulster, Cape Town, Nazarbayev and Sussex).
His studies delve into contemporary issues in conflict-affected educational systems, the political economy of education, and the educational policies across Africa, focusing on social justice. His research interests include comparative studies in science education, equity and learner-centeredness, and bibliometric analysis of research outputs.
