Know the current situation of Ecuador with the analysis of migration, its economic and demographic effects. The methods used are exploratory and descriptive research, which allows us to approach the reality facing the country. The result is that in Ecuador it is preferred to hire the migrant for his lower payment, and labor exploitation is incurred towards him. A part of the migrants in Ecuador are professionals, they do not exercise their profession due to the non-legalization of their documents. It is concluded that Ecuador is a chosen destination to obtain resources to send remittances to their country of origin.

The study arises from the challenges imposed by society to an interconnected education, for which a more efficient and innovative learning is required; its objective was to determine the form of use and learning generated by learning and knowledge technologies used for the interconnected education of students at the University of Guayaquil. As a methodology, a quantitative development was proposed, with field modality, descriptive type, a questionnaire of twenty items and Likert scale was used. The sample was chosen with stratified sampling, it was made up of 461 students. As results, it was found that the apprentices use diverse technological resources; however, it is necessary to promote the use of social networks as a resource to enhance learning; enthusiasm was almost always fostered; however, these learners must propose actions that lead to the construction of knowledge. In the adaptive learning activities, a lack was evidenced in the application of the diversity of evaluations and in the flexibility of the content. The study of the dimension: generated learning allowed to observe that the apprentices do not have the possibility of a rhizomatic learning, only sometimes they have the possibility of a nomadic learning; and, they almost never have the possibility of carrying out their educational process through open learning ecosystems. In conclusion, the form of use and learning generated by learning and knowledge technologies in the students of the University of Guayaquil are not adequate to the demands of an interconnected education.

ABSTRACT The living conditions of older adults are the circumstances inherent to the environment that surrounds this vulnerable group and all difficulties they present due to the nature of age. Inequalities exist mainly when the general sector circumstances are untidy. This study’s objective has been to determine the older adults’ living conditions in the Nueva Provincia neighborhood. The methodology used was a non-experimental design with a quantitative approach and correlational scope. The technique was survey and the instrument used was a questionnaire; the instrument’s validity was performed through construct and criterion validity through Pearson’s correlation coefficient, as well as reliability through Cronbach’s Alpha Test, obtaining reliability of 99%, which is excellent. The main alterations were shown in the physical well-being dimension, where the most important scores were obtained at a very low level with alterations in autonomy degree in housework at a very low (15%), autonomy in basic activities very low (15%) and low (10%), the autonomy to get up and go to bed very low (15%) and low (5%), and the most affected was physical exercise or sports activities with a surprising score of very low (15%) and low (85%). In conclusion, the physical well-being dimension is the most altered in the elderly who live in the Nueva Provincia neighborhood.

Training in the research culture of university students represents a great challenge in a social context dominated by globalization. The university student must assume an investigative and critical attitude in their training. Far from focusing on updating the latest advances in knowledge of your specific career, it must be assumed from the perspective of comprehensive, ethical, scientific and humanistic training. The objective of the study is to evaluate the influence of the research culture on the development of research skills, applying research methods, techniques and instruments, aimed at 300 students from the Faculty of Social and Health Sciences. A correlation test was applied to verify related dimensions between the variables, research culture and development of research skills. There is a direct correlation between the variables of research culture and development of research skills. It is concluded that, as long as an adequate research culture is encouraged, research skills will be developed in the student of the Santa Elena Peninsula State University.
