Exploring teachers’ pedagogical reasoning in mathematics education using the TPACK framework Roni Priyanda, Tatang Herman, Rizki Amalia, Iden Rainal Ihsan Frontiers in Education, 2025 Effective integration of technology in mathematics education requires teachers to blend content knowledge, pedagogical strategies, and digital tools. The Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework offers a lens for understanding teachers’ pedagogical reasoning when designing technology-enhanced lessons. However, the ways in which TPACK informs instructional planning and the challenges educators face remain under - synthesized. A systematic review following PRISMA guidelines was conducted using Scopus (2015–2024). Search terms included “pedagogical reasoning,” “instructional reasoning,” “TPACK,” and “math*.” From 118 records retrieved, title/abstract screening and full - text eligibility assessments yielded eight empirical studies examining TPACK and pedagogical reasoning in mathematics contexts. The included studies employed predominantly qualitative case studies and mixed - methods designs to capture teachers’ decision - making processes. Findings indicate that educators leverage TPACK to enhance conceptual understanding and student engagement via dynamic visualizations, interactive simulations, and scaffolded digital tasks. Common obstacles include limited subject - specific professional development, resource constraints, and heterogeneity in teachers’ TPACK proficiency. Evidence also highlights TPACK’s capacity to foster inquiry - based learning and develop teachers’ adaptive expertise. Sustained, targeted professional development and equitable access to technology are essential for deepening TPACK enactment. Implications for practice include designing PD programs that integrate subject - specific technology applications and creating institutional support structures. Future research should investigate longitudinal impacts of TPACK on teachers’ reflective practices and student outcomes, and develop standardized assessment tools tailored to mathematics instruction.
Analysis of the effectiveness of students' worksheets assisted by Google Form in junior high school in Langsa Kota as an alternative of independent learning during Covid-19 pandemic R Priyanda, N Fadhelina, R N Ariska Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2021 The aims of this study are to analyze the effectiveness of students’ worksheets assisted with Google Form during the Covid-19 pandemic, to find out whether this worksheets would improve students’ interest and independence of learning, and to reveal the percentage of teachers’ interest to use this worksheets. The sample of the research was the whole junior high school mathematics teacher in Langsa Kota and the object of the research is the effectiveness of the worksheets which use Google Form. The data were collected by the instrument of questionnaire and observation. The students’ independence of learning were categorized into medium with the responses of 93% and teacher interest to use the worksheets is categorized high (more than 50% per category). It can be concluded that the use of the Google Form worksheets could improve students’ learning independence, stimulates students’ learning interest, and increase teacher interest to be able to use the worksheets with Google Form in their classroom.
Development of interactive media based on mathematics with HOMTS and learning by doing orientation F Fadilah, R Priyanda, R Amalia Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2021 Mathematics learning needs to act as a bridge between students’ everyday culture and mathematics in school. The digital age requires teachers to develop innovative interactive media that contains hands-on activities and can improve higher-order thinking skills. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) of interactive media, namely lectora inspire based on ethnomathematics with HOMTS orientation and learning by doing. The steps in this research are (1) potential problems; (2) data collection; (3) product design; (4) design validation; (5) design revisions; (6) product trials; and (7) product revisions. The results showed that lectora inspire based on ethnomathematics with HOMTS orientation and learning by doing is appropriate to be used as interactive media in learning linear equation systems for senior high school students.
Analysis of external factors affecting students' achievement student of mathematics education of samudra university Fadilah, R Priyanda, R Amalia Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2021 The dominant external factors influencing student learning outcomes have been analyzed in this study. The participants of this study are year II and IV students of Mathematics Education FKIP Universitas Samudra in academic year of 2018/2019. Data collection used was questionnaire/questionnaire and interview. Approach and concept in this research using variable annotation with SPSS version 21. Interpretation of result of factor rotation indicate the formation of 3 factors together (main factor). The first to the third external factors that ranked first in the factors that are developing the results of the study of mathematics students FKIP Universitas Samudra in sequence is the community environment, school buildings, and campus environment.
