  • Cyber Bullying, Trolling, and Online Aggression
    Rubi Rajput
Examining Social Psychology in Virtual Environments, 2026
Cyber bullying and internet trolling are forms of online aggression that have become increasingly prevalent. Research indicates that individuals engaging in these behaviors often exhibit low self-esteem, low conscientiousness, and low internal moral values (Zezulka & Seigfried-Spellar, 2016).Trolling has been associated with personality traits such as psychopathy, narcissism, and sadism (Aydın et al., n.d.). Studies have found a significant relationship between offline aggression and online trolling behavior, suggesting that aggressive individuals tend to maintain their aggression in online spaces (Strimbu & O'Connell, 2021). However, there are inconsistencies between offline and online self-presentation for highly aggressive individuals. Detecting cyber bullying and aggression on social media platforms like Twitter is possible through machine learning algorithms that analyze text, user, and network-based attributes.
  • Values-based education in the age of digital transformation
    Rubi Rajput
Digital Transformation and Sustainability in Higher Education, 2025
This chapter explores the critical role of digital leadership in promoting value-based education within the context of digital transformation in higher education. As technology reshapes teaching and learning, it is essential to ensure that ethical, moral, and social values remain at the forefront of educational practices. The chapter examines how digital platforms can be leveraged to teach empathy, ethics, and social responsibility, using virtual communities and digital tools to foster a compassionate pedagogy. By integrating technology with values-based learning, higher education institutions can cultivate responsible, ethical graduates who contribute positively to society and sustainability efforts. Through case studies and practical insights, the chapter presents strategies for digital leaders to balance innovation with values, addressing challenges such as the digital divide and the need for inclusive, equitable education.
  • Use of artificial intelligence to solve problems in the classroom
    Rubi Rajput
New Technological Applications in the Flipped Learning Model, 2025
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in classrooms is transforming educational practices, offering solutions to challenges such as diverse learning needs, student engagement, behavioral management, and assessment processes. AI-powered adaptive learning systems provide individualized content tailored to each student's strengths and weaknesses, significantly improving academic outcomes (Holmes et al., 2019). These systems allow educators to implement differentiated instruction, accommodating students with varying abilities and learning styles. Tools such as AI-driven chatbots and virtual tutors offer instant guidance and support outside classroom hours, making learning more accessible (Chen et al., 2020). Behavioral analytics, another AI application, monitors student engagement and emotional well-being in real time. For instance, AI algorithms can identify signs of disengagement or anxiety, enabling timely teacher interventions (Luckin, 2018).
  • Teacher professional development in the digital age
    Rubi Rajput, Parveen Sharma
Smart Education and Sustainable Learning Environments in Smart Cities, 2025
Teacher professional development (TPD) is increasingly significant in the digital age, especially as smart cities continue to emerge and shape education. This chapter aims to explore how modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), and online learning platforms, are transforming traditional TPD models. By integrating these technologies into professional development programs, educators can enhance their skills, adopt innovative teaching practices, and foster more inclusive, environmentally conscious, and equitable learning environments. In the digital age, teachers often face challenges in adapting to rapid technological changes. This chapter highlights how AI can personalize TPD by assessing educators' strengths and areas for improvement through data analytics.
  • Overcoming Barriers to AI Implementation in the Classroom: A Roadmap for Educational Transformation
    Rubi Rajput
Navigating Barriers to AI Implementation in the Classroom, 2025
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in classrooms holds transformative potential for education, enabling personalized learning, efficient assessment, and enhanced student engagement. However, its widespread adoption is hindered by several barriers, including technological limitations, lack of teacher training, ethical concerns, and resistance to change. This chapter explores these challenges and provides a comprehensive roadmap for overcoming them to facilitate the effective implementation of AI in educational settings.
  • The double-edged sword of digital learning: Internet usage and study behaviors in Indian adolescents
    Rubi Rajput
E Learning and Digital Media, 2025
The study habits of Indian adolescents have undergone significant transformation in the study habits, especially concerning the heightened utilization of the internet for educational purposes. Although there are many clear benefits to using the internet in the classroom. For instance, students can always find a lot of information, they can talk to their teachers and classmates more easily, and they have a lot of digital learning materials at their fingertips. However, the internet also brings new problems, such as the risk of internet addiction, trouble focusing, behaving, cognitive offloading habits and other similar issues. The study employed a quantitative approach to examine the four dimensions of internet usage that influence study behavior: (i) frequency of use, (ii) intended purposes (academic versus non-academic), (iii) duration of access, and (iv) the learning environment and devices utilized. The study elucidates the impact of internet usage on essential learning skills such as concentration, organization, and note-taking by analyzing these processes. The study also examines how gender, socioeconomic status, and school type influence the relationship between internet usage and academic performance. Some studies have identified a positive correlation between internet usage and academic performance, whereas others have revealed a significant negative correlation. This study utilizes national and international literature to underscore these discrepancies. This study addresses the deficiencies in existing research by integrating diverse perspectives and focusing on a comparative analysis within secondary education.
  • An investigation into the effects of internet usage on the study habits of secondary school students in India
    Rubi Rajput, Deepika Chaudhary
E Learning and Digital Media, 2025
The COVID-19 outbreak has exposed significant change in the study culture among school children in the secondary schools especially by introducing them to be using internet more in their study. The internet proves to have highly positive educational advantages e.g.: students always have a source of information in the internet, it involves easier access to peers and teachers through communication, and the presence of digital learning material, however it also poses new challenges like distracted behaviour, internet addiction, or behaviour problems. According to research, internet use has the potential to have a positive effect in education through enhancing study habits, looking into how late one is able to study and also expanding the pool of academic material at the disposal of students. Further studies continue to reiterate on a possible negative relationship between excessive internet usage and performance among students. This research paper shall attempt to discuss the good and bad impacts of internet use on study behavior of adolescent schools going in India.
