Addressing Rogue Nodes and Trust Management: Leveraging Deep Learning-Enhanced Hybrid Trust to Optimize Wireless Sensor Networks Management Santosh Anand, Anantha Narayanan V Journal of Robotics and Control Jrc, 2025 Comprising a multiplicity of AdHoc sensors working in concert to monitor a range of environmental and physical factors for the targeted area, wireless sensor networks (WSNs). These sensors are used to provide continuous environmental status like temperature, pressure, and humidity by forwarding vital data to the internet through a base station. Aiming to greatly increase the security and performance of WSNs, this study presents a new framework that is a combination of the Deep Learning-Enhanced Hybrid Trust (DLEHT) model and the Machine Learning-Enhanced Fuzzy-Based Routing Protocol (ML-EFBRP). In this research, enhanced packet delivery, packet drop reduction, and the rogue nodes addressed in WSN from source to sink using a probabilistic approach, which depends on the experience of data with the integration of a sum-rule weight mechanism in HMM (Hidden Markov Model). Integration methodology played a major role in deep learning to observe the normal and abnormal node behavior with historic data. It enhanced the throughput and lowered latency with successful detection and addressing of rogue nodes by the integrated strategy. The proposed work, reflects an improvement in performance, both in terms of throughput and latency. The delay hyperparameters are observed, which vary from 7.48 to 26.22 ms with an average of 15.855 ms. And the packet is controlled and decreased by 7%, showcasing more improvement compared to existing work. Simulation results show considerable improvements in network accuracy, reliability, energy efficiency, and resistance during node failures and security concerns for network correctness. These findings show the combination of DLEHT and ML-EFBRP models provides stronger monitoring systems, hence enhancing operational efficiency in settings with limited resources.
Advanced Palm Detection Techniques in Forensic Science Using UVPVUP Technique Rohan Salins, Santosh Anand, Pushpa NB, Thilagaraj T 2nd International Conference on Emerging Trends in Information Technology and Engineering Ic Etite 2024, 2024 In the framework of an engaging case study, vein pattern analysis proved to be an essential tool for a break-in investigation. The skilled crime scene investigators carefully studied the unique vein patterns seen on a broken window that the criminal had used to break into homes. Vein pattern analysis obtained accurate images of the veins under investigation using sophisticated near-infrared imaging techniques. After that, these photos were painstakingly compared to an extensive database that contained information on well-known people, including suspects and property owners. By closely comparing the burglar's vein patterns, knowledgeable forensic specialists could link them to the location of the crime. This specific case study clearly illustrates the exceptional effectiveness of vein pattern analysis as a potent forensic technique used to locate and identify people engaged in criminal activity with an accuracy of 71 percent.
MACBT Algorithm: Two-Layer Security in WSN Santosh Anand, Thilagaraj T, Seema Firdose, Bharath B C 2nd International Conference on Emerging Trends in Information Technology and Engineering Ic Etite 2024, 2024 WSN is deployed in several critical places to monitor specific parameters such as border monitoring systems and others. If any unauthorized devices are placed or inserted into this network, then it will lead to huge information loss or threat. Several works are done in this field of study, including fake node detection, encryption, malicious node detection, etc. With the help of physical and analytical redundancy (spatial redundancy) in the system, error recovery can be made if the sensor node gets corrupted (fake node) and still sends authentic data. Several methodologies are implemented on wireless sensor networks to improve security, such as Conditional Random Field, Hidden Markov models (HMMs), SDN gateway, the hybrid model combines blockchain technology with CNF and HMM. Recently, encryption techniques have been used in the implementation of blockchain technology to improve security.
An Ensemble Learning Approach for Malicious Traffic Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks Rakshith B H, Santhosh Anand, Kannan M Proceedings 2023 IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing in Emerging Markets Ccem 2023, 2023 Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are essential for many applications, but they are also vulnerable to security risks since they are open to malicious assaults. The Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random Forest machine learning methods are used in this research to offer an enhanced algorithm for identifying malicious traffic in WSNs. The combination approach, also known as the integrated model, makes use of the advantages of both Random Forest and SVM to increase accuracy and resistance to different assault scenarios. Through its collective intelligence, the integrated algorithm achieves high detection rates and minimizes false positives. The system architecture incorporates this combined algorithm into the current WSN framework, guaranteeing seamless integration and potent detection capabilities. The combined technique achieves an excellent accuracy of 96.33%, which is superior to the separate SVM and Random Forest models' 94.83% and 91.00%, accuracy values respectively. This illustrates how well the combined algorithm can predict hazardous traffic. The suggested technique improves WSN security by offering a dependable way to identify and stop hazardous activity early on. Subsequent studies will evaluate the algorithm's performance in large-scale WSN deployments and look into other combination fusion techniques.
E-DSDV Routing Protocol to extend the lifetime of WSN Aparna P Jayan, Santosh Anand 2022 IEEE North Karnataka Subsection Flagship International Conference Nkcon 2022, 2022 In this paper, the proposed protocol, E-DSDV (Enhanced Destination Sequence Distance Vector) routing protocol is used to reduce the transmission power in WSN. The technology that has been created in recent years and will be developed in the future is primarily focused on the usage of Wireless Sensor Networks. There are numerous existing works on energy efficiency, battery lifespan using different algorithms. This work, is to prolong the life of network nodes while lowering energy usage. Reliable Wireless Sensor Network using Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) Kruthi B, Santosh Anand 3rd International Conference on Electronics and Sustainable Communication Systems Icesc 2022 Proceedings, 2022 Wireless sensor network is deployed in an unreachable place for humans. There are significant problems in WSN to transfer data from source node to destination node. Reliable data transfer is one of the most important aspects. Nodes that having low energy signal while transmitting the data to the neighbor node and if it does not reach the destination because of low energy then these nodes will consider as faulty nodes. There is a need for protocol or algorithm which can help to solve faulty node issues and provides high reliability. End to End reliability is essential to recognize the reliable, effective shortest path from source to destination nodes. Since nodes will not recognize the shortest paths time taken is more to transfer data from source node to destination node. The proposed research work utilizes Ant Colony Optimization(ACO) to check and identify the shortest path. The Shortest path will be identified by sending dummy data by using ACO. It will also help to check the effect of failed link and how it retrieves when there is a failure of link. With the help of ACO Fault tolerance can also be presented. With the help of this process data loss can be reduced and provide reliable transfer of data packets. To improve the lifetime of the network and to avoid data loss whole data will be converted into multiple packets. The parameters in the proposed work are transmission rate, data loss efficiency, energy level.
Enhancement of security in WSN using ETDES and BBDT technique Annapoorna. M.S, Santosh Anand Proceedings of the 2022 3rd International Conference on Intelligent Computing Instrumentation and Control Technologies Computational Intelligence for Smart Systems Icicict 2022, 2022 A wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consists of Sensor nodes and these nodes are meant for sensing and communicating information through a wireless network. These nodes have limited energy and storage capacity while communicating with each other. The data should securely transmitted from source to sink nodes. If data is not securely transmitted, then security is needed for those sensor nodes. So security is the major challenging issues because it can be used for both controlling and monitoring, while sending the data from one network to another network through a routing path, the attacker may capture the data, attack the data, or attacks on the routing table. So, high – level Security is required for the sensor nodes due to interrupted and insecure communication in a wireless network. In this proposed work, Triple-DES is enhanced with the help of AES algorithm (ETDES) and implementation of blockchain (BBDT) in a wireless network. So data will be divided into number of blocks through different routing paths which secure data communication in between sensor nodes to reach to the destination. Blockchain based data transmission (BBDT) used for transmitting the data from sensor to base station
