Wireless sensor networks play a major role in applications that require challenging human contact, which can greatly benefit from the use of wireless sensor networks. WSN is widely used in real-time applications, including security systems, environmental monitoring systems, disaster management, and health monitoring, among others. Due to the fact that sensor nodes are placed in remote locations, it is difficult to find their position and optimize the energy used by the sensor nodes. So, it’s crucial to increase network lifespan by locating them, enhancing energy efficiency, and giving the network security in order to improve network performance. By merging the WSN network’s routing idea into the wireless data network’s hierarchical clustering routing algorithm LEACH, specifically Quadrant Based LEACH, a locationbased routing protocol (QB-LEACH) is suggested. The proposed work comprises three phases, namely, location estimation using Grey Wolf optimisation, energy-efficient clustering by the Quadrant Based-LEACH algorithm, and detection of malicious nodes by a trust-based model. Simulation results show that the proposed Secure and Location Based Energy Efficient Protocol (SLEEP) outperforms in terms of packet delivery ratio, average route path length, average delay, and energy consumption.

    IEEE
In this world, the way of conveying information between deaf, dumb, and blind people and normal people is very difficult. It is very difficult to share their thoughts and information with others without any assistive devices. In the available scheme, the Arduino microcontroller is used to do some specific operations. It had some disadvantages, such as compiling time, execution time, and the microcontroller doesn't process speech to text conversion processes. In order to overcome the drawbacks faced in the available scheme, Raspberry Pi and sensors are used in the proposed scheme. With the help of the speech-to-text conversion process, deaf people can easily understand what normal people say. Also, there is no fear of traffic for blind people with the help of ultrasonic sensors, and with the accelerometer sensor, dumb people can easily convey their messages to normal people.

    IEEE
WSN is often a technology used within an IoT system that assists in monitoring, tracking, and sensing different environmental activities when WSN is integrated into the IoT. They faced a major challenge due to excessive energy ingesting in their sensor nodes and network lifetime. Therefore, the fundamental issues in WSN are high energy consumption in nodes, packet delivery, routing distance, and packet delay. An energy-effective routing scheme that encompasses the system’s generation and recovers its performance and connectivity. Primarily, the sensing region is segregated into different regions depending on the organized sinks and deployed sensor nodes using random deployment. To locate the ideal location for the sinks and accumulate the information from sensor nodes, a sojourn location determination algorithm is constructed finally, using multi-objective evolutionary algorithms, sojourn location determination algorithms are used to analyze the optimized mobile sink paths. While the proposed work’s performance was assessed in terms of energy consumption, throughput, packet delivered ratio, packet loss, average routing length, and accomplishment time of the sinks Algorithms for determining sojourn location.

  • Hierarchical Routing with Optimal Clustering Using Fuzzy Approach for Network Lifetime Enhancement in Wireless Sensor Networks
    R. Senthil Kumaran, Ashish Bagwari, G. Nagarajan, and Sanjay Singh Kushwah

    Hindawi Limited
Wireless sensor network (WSN) is one of the major emerging fields in real-time scenarios due to the features of sensors. Sensors are used in remote areas because of their usability. Energy is the major issue to be addressed in sensor networks. This energy affects the entire network lifetime. To resolve the energy issues of WSN, clustering and proper routing are the two major procedures that have to be focused on. In this paper, hierarchical routing with optimal clustering using a fuzzy system (HROCF) is proposed for network lifetime enhancement in WSNs. This proposed scheme uses two phases: selection of a cluster leader with a fuzzy inference system and the hierarchical routing strategy are implemented for routing to consume the energy of the sensors resourcefully. During the first phase, a proper cluster leader can be nominated through the fuzzy inputs, namely: residual energy, cost, and position. In the second phase, hierarchical routing can communicate the information from the lower region to the sink node through the cluster leaders in higher regions. These two phases help to prolong the lifetime. The simulation analysis demonstrates that the HROCF scheme reduces the overall energy spent in the network and supports an increase in the lifespan in terms of more alive sensors compared to the existing schemes.

  • Contactless Temperature Detection of Multiple People and Detection of Possible Corona Virus Affected Persons Using AI Enabled IR Sensor Camera
Abirami M., Saundariya K., Senthil Kumaran R., and Yamuna I.

    IEEE
Today our whole world is entangled with the most dreadful disease Corona which is caused by the successor of SARS known as SARS-Cov-2 virus. Coronavirus is the influenza-like respiratory disease causing damage to the respiratory system of the humans through the ACE2 receptors which acts as an entry gate for the virus to enter. The Corona virus was identified in late 2019 in the city of Wuhan, China which later spread to the most of the territories in China. The spread was first identified by the Bluedot which is a Saas service designed to track and detect the spread of infectious disease. When the other countries came to know the severity of the virus they made various steps to prevent the spread of the virus. The initial symptoms of coronavirus are rise in temperature, loss of taste and smell and short breathness. As the entry level check many institutions and offices, checks the body temperature of the people and checks whether the person is wearing a mask or not. To make this process fully automatic without human intervention the use of AI enabled IR camera sensor with the Arduino UNO is made. The detection of temperature can be made possible by the use of the computer leveraging vision techniques which is equipped with the Raspberry-pi camera module. The process is based on the thermal imaging of the person which can detect the elevated temperature of the person and prevents them from entering into the institution or offices thereby the spread due to the possibly affected persons can be avoided thereby the spread can be controlled. The system not only identifies the person with high temperature but also checks whether the person is wearing a mask or not. The real time analysis of the system is the major advantage of the proposed system.

  • Network lifetime enhancement in wireless sensor networks using energy aware clustering with fuzzy system
    R. Senthil Kumaran and P. Suganya

    IOP Publishing
Abstract The lifetime of the network states that the failure time of the initial network nodes or if the building blocks of WSN modules in the network runs out of power. The successive exchange of messages leads to power loss and burdening of sensor nodes. It reduces the network lifetime. This paper presents the energy aware clustering algorithm along with fuzzy to contemplate the residual energy. In cluster based wireless sensor networks, the cluster head gathers all kind of information from each node and has the responsibility of passing of the collected data to the various destination nodes. It diminishes the message overhead, delay, increasing packet delivery ratio and enhancing the lifetime of network.

  • Deep Learning on Healthcare Ecosystem using Blockchain Based Security System
    R. Nishanthini, B. Srimathi, R.Senthil Kumaran, and I. Yamuna

    IEEE
For providing immense care on the patient's health, it is obligatory to nurture the patient's health records. This health care circumstance of the patient info is stored using blockchain networks. Distinctive healthcare specialists can access the data via this shared network infrastructure-the healthcare quarter profits immensely from a decentralized and dependable database. The details would be collected and documented securely in the Mongo dB database as encoded chunk data after document validation by the CA server with minimal computation time. The details stored in this database can be accessed using RNN when the user id and password match up with the database. The interface, smart contract, user access management, monitoring, mapping modules are processed to create a blockchain. The patient's details will be collected in the P ATREC chain, and the gathered information is applied to the blockchain, where it is stored in the list of blocks. Then it generates a hash value for that information in the block. Each patient's health details can be stored in their account, which can be shared or allow access by others using smart contact after authentication. Hence, it is mandatory to securely maintain these patient health care details as a single encrypted hash value using blockchain, which cannot access.

    E. Aravindraj, G. Nagarajan, and R. Senthil Kumaran

    IEEE
In this article, a Recursive square fractal antenna has been designed for WLAN applications. A fractal is a self similar structure that enhances the effective length of the patch that transmit/receive electromagnetic radiations. The proposed antenna consists of three layers namely Patch (Perfect Electrical Conductor), Dielectric material (FR-4 with permittivity 4.4) and Ground plane (Perfect Electrical Conductor) and it is fed using a quarter wavelength transmission line for better input impedance. The overall geometry of the fractal antenna is 30mmx30mmx1.6mm and it is designed and simulated in HFSS platform. The output has been analyzed for different iteration made on the radiating patch, the difference in the radiating frequency, return loss, bandwidth, gain and directivity in four different iterations has been compared. The radiating frequency for all different iterations ranges from 4.95 GHz to 5.15 GHz which can be used for WLAN applications. The proposed Recursive square fractal antenna design using Iterated Function System (IFS) shows the improvements in the simulation parameters while increasing the number of iteration. Thus, the simulation results obtained show the S11 output in zeroth iteration is -21.31dB for 5.151GHz, whereas fourth iteration it is -59.66dB for 4.98 GHz.
